i was there when all this happened. it took me 3-4 hrs to reach home. i live near meadowhall, jut a mile away. hope it wont happen again. global warming is showing its strength.

I also dont live in sheffield although i was born and raised there and my family are there, and went through this and my heart went out to them i have been through devestation in a Hurricane where my house was totally demolished and didnt get rebuild overnight it takes months and in some cases even years so all hang in there and be strong .

The people that have "dissed" sheffield are utter morons, sheffiled is the greenest and safest city in europe. Sheffield comes before london on average in quality of life, on non-unemployment and has less drug use and pushing than 3 of the the major cites in europe.

Me && My friends were stranded in meadowhall for 7 hours, we hardly got any information telling us what was going on && then we were told that a factory was on fire and that the petrol station was in danger of blowing up. We had to find that out from a random passer by who told us where to go and what to do
