  • I was found mark of the wolves and last blade for dreamcast back in 02 45$ each well that's all I wanted for my birthday and that's what I got!

  • @zeogeox Wow, that's a heck of a deal!

  • Mark of the wolves is also on for the japanese ps2 as Garou: Mark of the Wolves...

    But,great video anyway :P

  • @Caparzoshow Kudos for catching that. Yes indeed you are correct. The real question is, where is a sequel to this amazing game? :(

  • Luckily, Mark of Wolves was released on the xbox live marketplace.

  • This is true, and it is a pretty good port for an amazing price.

  • Sorry to correct, but Metal Slug Anthology doesn't have Metal Slug Advanced, making it on game short on it's release.

  • Metal Slug Anthology only includes all arcade releases, so it does indeed include all of the true Metal Slugs. Add to that you forgot the mention the Metal Slugs for the Neo Geo Pocket. Plus, Metal Slug Advance was kinda weak IMO. :)

  • Yeah of course it was! It didn't have Marco or Feo!

  • Are you contradicting yourself? And Metal Slug 1 didn't have Fio, and it was awesome...

  • @anupsanju

Ah toshae... well played sir... well played.

  • hey so umm how many fighting games does SNK have?

i only know samurai shodown and fatal fury.

i heard king of fighters is like SNK's Street Fighter/Super Smash Brothers like game.

  • The game is now on XBLA;Viva la SNK :)

  • There's a version of Garou for PS2 which I downloaded from some website. I think it belongs to some SNK Playmore compilation. Thanks for reviewing that game, one of my all time favorites.

  • the video quality could use some work but not bad

  • Thanks for the comment. Question though, how could the video quality use work? Do you mean by bettering teh actual resolution of the video or editing and transistions? Let me know as I'd love to know. Thanks!

  • yeah just better resolution thats all because snk did make some pretty good looking games

  • the wii version isn't bad, it has gamecube support and the wii remote on it's side work really well in my opinion.

  • Man am I glad to have gotten MOTW when it came out.

  • you can use a gamecube controller on the wii

  • Yes indeed, but it still doesn't feel right IMO. The GC is a good controller, but for an arcade game such as this, it isn't my personal favorite. Thanks for watching!

  • Ive noticed in MOW that some of the characters play like nextgen versions of some of the characters in KOF

  • SNK is a good definition of being underrated They made some of my favorite fighters... I actually perfer Fatal Fury/KOF over Street Fighter!

  • you are right it is Marvel Superheroes, thanks for the name of that game love your videos and keep them coming

  • in the intro what is the name of the game after Marvel Vs. Capcom 2

  • I think you're talking about the game after Marvel Superheroes. That game is Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn. It is a co-op beat em up created by Treasure. It's rare and a bit expensive, but it's well worth it if you own a Saturn.

  • I must lucky than, I found my copy of MOTW at the pawn shop for $10. Now that my friend, is a steal!

  • Wow, that is a steal. Great game for one fine little price!

  • okay real quick for MSGA psp version if you have the psp 3000 the load time are 1/2 faster than psp 2000 so that settles that.

  • I got a NeoGeo AES with most of the games you mentioned in this video ;) But... not MOTW... yet!

Been considering buying SVC: Chaos and MOTW, but have prioritized other stuff instead. But will get it someday. :)

  • But the wii ver. of Metal Slug Anthology can be played like the VC games if you remove the nunchuck :P

altough i admit that the PS2 controls are better

  • Garou MOTW was ported to the ps2 years ago...

It's probably cheaper to get the japanese import and a swap disc than to look for the dreamcast and the game.

the video itself is so and so.

it tries to give us the snk backstory but doesn't.

it feels to cater to the casual gamer and mentions atomiswave and fatal fury like they are household names.

it's sloppy written but the editing and video itself is good.

a for effort but it doesn't make me wanna bust out my mvs...

  • Yea, I realize that MOTW is out for import PS2, but I mainly wanted to focus on the domestic releases as most people will not make the effort to mod or buy an import PS2. It's much easier for folks to buy the Dreamcast version as it's a cheaper route in my opinion.

I wasn't trying to give an SNK back story as that is covered through my link to the website. I want to try an cater to all sorts, but I do want to bring casual gamers into the fold who would not play these games otherwise.

  • I think the Wii version was quite pimp. Gamecube controler is perfectly fine to use.

  • great video. but didnt the wii version of metal slug anthology support a gamecube controller?

or at least it was supposed to be when it was still in development. cos i remember clearly seeing the devs showcasing the game and explaining that they had loads of different control schemes and gamecube controller was one of them.

  • it does

  • Bob Saget for the win.

    Cool video!

  • Hey jedah, good work on the vid. Keep it up dude.

  • Yes indeed, gotta keep preachin' the good news of SNK.

  • game on, subscribed!

  • It is here, and boy was it great! Good job! Greta reviews, great games! Have a good one man!

  • Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it my man.

  • Nice episode shame there are so few people out there that would play these games these days. I have a lot more fun playing a Neo Geo title than some overrated FPS or MMORPG (aka charities for game companies that need money to pay for office rent and bills).

  • Very True! Thanks for watching, my friend!

  • love the neo geo

  • Ahoy,

your voice sounded like you are cold or something. The games were awesome, even for me who don't like fighting games. Metal Slug can be played with neo-geo modules for PC (as I heard), they were real something.

I like the sentimentalistic prologues before games. Keep that way.

    "game on"

  • I'm surprised I hadn't subscribed before now. Nice show. I hope to see many, many more!

  • Well I'm glad you enjoyed it. And yes, there will be many more shows to come.

  • Nice work man.

  • Mark of the Wolves was also released for PS2 in Japan. It also got a re-release there, so it can be found new very cheaply.

  • Thanks for that bit of info. If anyone has an import or modded PS2, that might be a good option.

  • Wii version of Metal Slug Anth. Rocks and has 6 ways to Control it. I don't waggle I just staight up us the WiiMote Sideways, it's like using an NES Controller. Fatal Fury and ALL SNK fighters= yawn.

  • You still have to shake the WiiMote either way you look at it. It doesn't have enough buttons to make it playable. Mark of the Wolves is different from any of the other Fatal Fury games. Hey, it's your loss.

  • So if I don't have PS2 or PSP, you are saying stay away from Metal Slug Anthology for Wii ANYWAYS?? That's a little too narrow minded, because in a subtle way, you are encouraging people who truely like the Metal Slug Series to either Buy a PSP or PS2 or just miss out EVEN if they have a Wii, because you said "Stay Away from the Wii version." It isn't a matter of Which version is best, not every gaming nerd owns a Fakestation2 or PSPSPSP. Hey if you own every system, buy the best version.

  • My comment was a general warning to gamers about the Wii version. There is no coded message, just a piece of advice. Sure, if all you have is a Wii, then you're stuck with playing that version. I was advising everyone, no matter if they had a PS2 or PSP, to stay away from the Wii version because of the listed problems. Why you feel the need to stand up for the Wii and bash the PS2 and PSP is beyond me. I want to know what versions of a game are best, so I give that information out to my viewers.

  • Yeah, I'm stuck. 30 bucks painfully spent. LOL. I'd say if you don't mind flicking the wiimote to "grenade" you will live. As for my feelings about Sony systems, by the way, my Playstation2 was stolen, Let's just say, that was a blessing in disguise. Making fun of Sony for its very creative naming of it's gaming consoles isn't ripping on the system. Refer to "Wii" as the Wiiwii, or PiiWii, it's a damn gaming system, NOT a human. I enjoy My Sega Deadcast, but I call it Dreamc.. wait, switch that.

  • I hear ya. Sometime you have to live with what you have. If nothing else, at least the Wii got the game. Yea, my friend and I have pet names for game systems as well. For some reason we call the PS2 "Twopums". I'm not sure why, it just happened one day. But hey, that's what happens when one gets bored.

  • Cool. Perhaps if you had been out making these vids when I used to buy games like "Guilty Gear X" (DC) and "Street Fighter 3rd Strike" (DC) you would have gotten a lot more possitive response outta me. As Neo Geo games Go, even though they are short and, at times annoying, I downloaded Magician Lord, and Top Hunter, BaseballStars2. I read about the Neo Geo Collection disc coming to some home console, but I think it might be too late for me. The one 2D Fighter I would like to see is FistNorthStar

  • The best piece of advice I could give you is to try out those SNK fighting games. Although you might have tried many games, it never hurts to try them all out. I've found a lot of games I really enjoyed that, at first, I thought I wouldn't. Thanks for the comments!

  • Finally! It took a year but its here, and its a great episode. Thanks for finally making this episode. I eagerly await Episode 6 next March/April!

  • LOL, well hopefully it will be sooner then then.

  • YEAHHHH! Episode 5! OMG I almost died when I Bob Saget. GREAT JOB, BRO! This show must live on!

  • I like the new look. Good video BUT you do know that the Wii port of Metal Slug can use the Gamecube controller right?

  • Yea, but I had to give the Wii version crap because, well, it just deserves it.

  • Holy shit.

  • YAY first comment, Deffinately a good face lift for your review ep. It took a year man, but hey it was actually worth the wait. Good episode man, glad to see it up finally lol. Yea MOTW for me was the best as well, I still crack out on it every now and again to see if I still have the touch of the 24 plus combos. :) Awsome attention to detail. Love it. So another year for ep6 LOL
