The most authentic Elvis tribute artist who has captured Elvis's mannerisms - from facial expressions all the way to the way he holds his hands and carries himself - is Cody Slaughter. He opened on Broadway most recently in The Million Dollar Quartet and won the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist competition at Graceland in August 2011. Watch him sing and pay tribute to Elvis. It's actually a little eerie to see him perform. He is a fabulous entertainer.
@MrDoowop1955 I've bought the complete Series including this "Making of" as a bonus on DVD at Ebay from an American seller awhile back. But you need to be lucky though to find it. I also bought a complete series of Promotional Slides and other Press Material on Ebay a few months ago, so now and then things of this Series do show up on Ebay. I also know that on the Website ioffer.com the Series is offered for sale on DVD now and then, but I don't know if the picture quality is any good.
This guy physically looked the most like Elvis of all the actors who played him although Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Kurt Russell got his swagger and mannerisms down better. Had he been able to channel their acting talent, he would have been hands down the best Elvis ever.
@1956ep The DVD Set of this TV Series usually costs about 20 American Dollars, but it's sold as DVD Recordables. A bit hard to find this DVD Set these days. It still surprises me that they haven't officially released this TV Series on DVD! I'm sure most Elvis Fans would love to have this TV Series on DVD! Michael St. Gerard is a priest these days, after he made this TV series he made a few Movies after which he retired from acting.
omg i really want to see the whole series is there any way possible for anyone to upload the whole series ive been seeing like bets and parts of the series and it looks really good plz and thankz
go to ioffer.com and you can buy the whole series on there, just type Elvis mini series dvd and it will come up, I own and I do recommend it to any Elvis fan it was very well made, it's a real shame it got canceled because they were going to keep going right through Elvis' whole career.

This brings back so many memories. I watched the series when it was on TV, and then the marathon that they did on TNT. I recorded them all. Love 'em.

One of my favourite series, what a shame there never was a second season! These cast interviews are very interesting and fun to watch!
