  • Ridiculous.......Foot falllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • I'm gonna steal that "foot fault"... I like that step, it's different from many others, and it makes you attack the ball in a aggressive way.

    Thanks for the video.

  • @AkMachx i use that move also, just make sure your front foot doesn't move

  • not good balance

  • hey ist it a foot fault i guess is it?! :D:D:D

  • FOOTFAULT :)

  • it's not important that's a foot fault. look at the tecnique

  • @LeonardoTorino THANK YOU...sheesh but look at the views

  • @hi10spro ya look at the dislikes.....

  • foot fault

  • am i the only one to notice his terrible foot fault¿¿¿¿¿

  • @jobblas just everyone

  • Foot fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @grahamcrackers100 sigh...should have used another clip

  • foot fault ?

  • foot fault haha

  • foot fault back foot

  • hahahaha foot fault

  • @stinjos is that supposed to be funny?

  • this is crap

  • In my opinion the footfault is more strinking than the shoulder turn, I'm sorry!

  • @CharlyRudnick you mean striking or you mean stinking... i'm really bummed about the foot fault but it's causing a greater discussion than the serve

  • @hi10spro

Dude, don't care about the foot faulth, the solution is very easy, just step 10 centimetres back, and voila, no foot faulth anymore.

  • Which would you recommend for a fast serve 10spro? Platform Stance or Pinpoint? Currently, I use platform and a ton of leg action. I want to switch to pinpoint because it seems like so many pros use it, but on the other hand, Federer uses platform. D:

  • @timeF1ysBye I like pinpoint because it brings my bodyweight forward to the ball. IF you can push off with both legs on the platform, then do it, but if not, you'll get a cramp in one leg or worst...have a bigger leg than the other...

  • @hi10spro oh god... My right leg is bigger than my left... D: Maybe I should start trying pinpoint stance. But I like how u say havin a bigger leg is worst than a cramp :P thanx

  • FOOT FAULT...now its stuck in ur head in each serve for the rest of the game...lol

  • FOOT FAULT

  • Foot Fault.

  • Foot fault!

  • i wanted to see it hit the other side!

  • @clubscape12 I'm good but I'm not that good yet, BUT i plan on getting another camera soon

  • this is a foot fault, he stepped on the line before he hits the ball, it doesnt matter that he is not on the line anymore when he makes contact

  • @Bartez2vu Sadly, this is one of my most viewed videos, and I'm not sure if it's the most viewed because it's a great kick serve demonstration or because EVERYONE and rightly so is pointing out it's a footfault. The rule is if you make contact with the ball, you can touch the line

  • His foot is on the line (on the line is IN) before he leaves the ground and before he contacts the ball. FOOT FAULT FOLKS. Yes the other mechanics are excellent but pointless if he is competing against someone here.

  • this is not a foot fault. at the moment he touch the ball with his racket, he is in the air. So no foot fault

  • @Josieposie100 sadly...it's a foot fault..my bad...but it goes for a great commentary...sigh

  • @Josieposie100 lol freeze it at 0.15 he clearly has a foot on the line and has not made contact yet. Therefor foot fault

  • It's true he's jumping, but before he jumped he stepped on the line. So it's a foot fault. But don't miss the point, this guy needs to jump because he's five foot one.

  • its not a good demonstration when he foot faulted ....

  • It's not a foot fault unless you hit the ball before you go over the line. Also that is what a serve is supposed to do, it's supposed to make you step forward. Just like throwing a football! :D

  • FOOT FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You Shall Not Foot Fault!!!

  • THE EXCELLENT SCIENTIFIC FORM OF THE TENNIS SERVE IS ALL THAT THIS VIDEO CLIP IS TRYING TO PORTRAY, foot fault or not!! It's the one of the most scientific form I have ever seen on the serve from relative video clips on youtube. Avoiding a foot fault is quite minor at this point.

  • You're all missing the point. It's an excellent FORM of a serve!!!!

  • @ramzen5 but ironically, this is the most commented video I have...

  • This is madness!

    Madness?

    THIS

    IS

    FOOT FAULT!!!

  • FOOT FAULT

  • Its not a foot fault f*@k wits!!

So long as he hits the ball before coming into contact with the ground its considered a legal serve.

    So your all wrong.

  • Its not a foot fault f*@k wits!!

So long as he hits the ball before coming into contact with the ground its considered a legal serve.

    So your all wrong.

  • @izzyBAH thank you

  • @izzyBAH I guess you might be right, but looking on wikipedia, it says: "when a player, during the serve, steps on or over the baseline into the court before striking the ball, which results in a service fault." ...and apparently, at 0:07, he steps slightly onto the baseline. But that doesn't matter right now... nice demonstration.

  • @izzyBAH No. Just no.

  • @izzyBAH the first serve he hits is a foot fault. press play at 0:13 to see it - his back foot is on the line

  • @izzyBAH

Freeze the frame at :07. You're telling me that's not a foot fault? Cmon man.

  • foot fault

  • foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault foot fault

  • Nice foot fault.

  • foot fault

  • foot fault

  • good serve, but your left foot shoud stay behind your right foot, so you can generate more rotation with your hips!

  • now that is an interesting point

  • foot fault

  • foot fault

  • foot fault

  • foot fault

  • sorry but.... fault fault fault fault.... XD

  • foot fault.

  • even without the foot fault this video doesnt even really explain how to properly do a kick serve

  • does it really matter that he foot faulted really? i think we have like 50 sherlock holmes on youtube pretty fricken obvious ok so let it go, and the point of the video was to demonstrate what a person doing a kick serve looks like

  • ironically, this video is the most commented video i have... crazy

  • everything he did sucks because he foot faulted.

    XD

  • riiiggghhhhttt....

  • foot fault lol

  • foot fault!

  • foot fault i saw that.

  • I think that we get that its a foot fault >.> no need to say it in like every comment

  • 0:15 See that white line on the floor? ...you should not step on it before hitting the ball

  • Awesome!

  • A. He did foot fault

    B. It's not really a jump, its more of a reach and throw yourself over and into the ball.

  • What are you teaching?. How to do a Kick serve or how to avoid a foot fault?

  • Foot fault !

  • you have to jump when you hit the ball, jumping gives 1/3 of the power to the ball, and it allows for more reach and height over the net.

  • definate Foot Fault.

Don't know why this guy thinks he can coach....

You definately need a lot of coaching

  • don't be a hater. that's not me...sigh. it's a great demonstration of a good kick serve. if you try it, you would see. but i doubt you will.

  • umm im pretty sure thats a foot fault

  • I especially like the stance hes in right before he jumps of... the step forward is not something i prefer but its still a very solid motion!

  • i agree

  • fault and always stay on the ground, you are jumping there. bad.

  • jumping my friend is the in thing. you have to jump

  • disagree. strech your body as much as you can get on your tiptoes. when your body is most streched, hit the ball. you lose control if you jump.

  • Are you kidding me?? Jumpoing is the best way (only way?!) to get your hitpoint higher which obviously is good. It also lets you rotate your upperbody much easier!

    allways jump

  • i think you have to jump. to transfer body weight UP and through the ball.

the pros jump. unless I'm missing something. you have to jump

  • What´s "great" on this video...?

  • bummers I guess I better rename this... as okay kick serve...but if i named it that, would you peek at it.

dude. it's a great jump into the serve with a nice impact and transfer

  • Yeah, you´re right. The word "great" took me to this video. That´s why I was so annoyed when I saw the "greatnes".

Anyway, thanks for your tennis vids

  • i thought this was great because you can do it. my friend is a normal guy. not like a fed, roddick, etc

  • you foot fault

  • the guy stepped on the line so its a fault...

  • the guy stepped on the line so its fault...

    better luck next time

  • how well has this guy done at state in high school?

  • he didn't play high school. BUT he played college. he started playing at age 27. amazing huh? I was amazed

  • that is suppose ot be amazing ?

  • most people that start late... suck. or can play but have HORRIBLE form... that's amAZING :D

  • Prove it....

  • go to the park... see how many people have nice form... you want me to go to the park and just shoot video. 80% of the population didn't play tennis when they were young... and the form is wow... so you prove to me that I'm wrong because buddy unless your park is full of ex tennis players, the form is really kind of interesting

  • I get your point buddy.. I just didn't like you saying "most people that start late... suck". I respect you a lot, but I mean, that's generalising a bit isn't it? Starting to play late sure doesn't help all in all.

  • homes. you're taking me in a negative perspective, and perhaps it's because you don't know me--there are very good players that start late--like my doubles matches you see, BUT they are GOOD but have odd form. that's what I mean, you can be good and have odd form. heck, I have a slightly odd forehand so I am cool with that. Regardless, my intention is not to say late starters suck, but it sounded like that so I'm sorry. I meant it's unusual for late starters to have nice form

  • biggest foot fault ever

  • he normally doesn't, but this clip does.

  • i hope you're kidding.

  • Foot Fault

  • fail :P

  • The secret , you said, also lays i ntransfering weight forward and oyu point out the pinpoint stance. What's funny is how Sampras, Roddick and Federer doesn't pinpoint...

Starting to think where does this affirmation of many coaches comes from because Sampras was an amazing server, Roddick has the three highest serving speed and Federer is one of the best server on the tour.

It's more unpon like as it seems this little advantage doesn't affect speed and control much as I showed.

  • doesn't roddick start pinpoint?

  • I think roddick starts platform then goes pinpoint. I think it's like pitching, you either got a gun for an arm or not.

  • like his ready stance when he's bouncing the ball he likes to jiggle around and stuff, but then when he's about to serve he starts pinpoint i think

  • yeah. you're right. I think damn I don't know.

  • FAULTY FOOT

  • lol line fault

  • woah is that the same kevin kid???

  • HAHAH no Kevin is now a MAN..he just graduated and is going to play at uni... he's HUGE now, been lifting weights...

  • oh ha i was just wondering. id love to see a video of him now. best of luck to him in college

  • "How to rotate your shoulders THORUGH the ball"--FAIL

  • you mean through? what do you mean? he's rotating. please explain

  • l was just messing around with the typo

  • looks like a lot of ppl beat me to it, but FOOT FAULT!

  • its not really a great serve if its a fault.a foot fault.

  • HA HA! i said the same thing FOOT FAULT!

  • EVERYONE LOOK AT THAT PRONATION

  • Foot Fault!

  • dorks are commenting foot fault. look at the serve you nimwits!!!

  • infoowetrust... thank you... sigh... I like his motion and I've played this kick serve, it's pretty good considering my friend is 5 feet 8

  • what if you were to serve and volley? you said to jump at the ball, and well, most people toss the ball about 6" into the court and jumping at the ball doesn't get you very far into the court

  • you let your momentum carry you and you end up farther in. try it. BUT when you play baseline, you need to get behind the baseline after.

  • you can't really do great kick serve if right foot across the left foot. in order to turn shoulder from behind,,,until you jump, your right foot should be still behind the left foot. at the worst case,,, a half foot behind.

  • yo, people. it doesn't matter if it's a foot fault. ok? move his foot back an inch, and the ball will still land in; it doesn't change the fact that it's a kick serve. it's only a demonstration anyways. no need to cry over a minor foot fault.

  • F()()T FAULT

  • Agree with JahJoJah, in an instructional video it doesn't matter that it is a foot fault.

  • that was a cheap shot, he did a foot fault...

  • that guy must be his boyfriend!

  • look at the impact???

    look at the foot fault!!!!

  • 1) that is a foot fault. HAAHAHHA kay.

    2) it's a really good serve though, it's hard to return

  • I know, but it makes no sense if he does the foot fault!!!

  • It doesn't matter in a demonstration video. Just move back an inch when you do it, sskkiittee. Because apparently, because you can point out an error in one thing, you are obviously better than EVERYONE else that has been doing this.

  • foot faulT!!

  • lol that was a bad foot fault...

  • Foot falt... eheh!
