Well, here's the thing about the "Quicken" thing. On a Mac, you can run a windows operating system. You'll have to buy it, yes. There's also 2 ways to do it. Bootcamp (at my school) where you hold a button at the startup of the mac and you click which OS you wanna use, or Parallel Desktop, which lets you run a windows OS on top of your Mac OS.

@9BBang Alienware, desktop, not the laptop, or you could get your desktop/computer built the way you want, that way, you can always upgrade it to the best of the best, just like all the hardcore gamers do. Both are good choices.
i'm a pc person for stuff like words and powerpoint and excel and movie maker, but for entertainment purposes and generally having fun with cool little additions and visuals i would go for mac, like ones more for work and ones for play
I personally think PC's are a lot better. Macs in my opinion are over rated and over priced. You can get a REALLY good PC for $2500. Macbook pro's have the specs of a $900-$1000 PC. The only reason PC's get viruses, are that people are too lazy to install anti-virus, spy ware and malware software which you can get for free. And my PC NEVER get's viruses, I don't even have a firewall, either. It's really all about personal preference.
And what do you think about an OS that allows you to execute software made for Microsoft, Apple, Linux/Unix or Solaris natively without being forced to use any Middleware and that is installable on any hardware architecture that currently dominates the market such as x86, x86-64, POWER-PC or ARM?
We are now finishing the first BETA Version of our Operating System FenOS and we warmly invite you to discuss together with us our Operating System.
The idea of open source Apple took from Linux "MkLinux was the first attempt by Apple to support a free and open source software project." " Now OSX's whole kernel open source" based on ideas from Linux , BSD, and NeXTSTEP . I support Linux Mint, and the other 700 distributions of Linux that are free that both Apple and Microsoft took ideas from.
loved the video! nice and simple, no drama well done fella your points were put across well without the showbiz factor pity some of the other tube star wannabes don't follow suit instead of being in love with their own voice and 5 mins of fame.
What a terrific effort, mate!! Thank you for your video, a completely unbiased and thorough overview of the two main sides of computing!! Keep up the good work!! :)
If you go over to your local Apple store and use a mac for about 5 minutes you can see why it cost so much. When you use it you can see how much work was put into everything. Basically when you buy a mac you are paying for R&D.
I like to play With photos and films, and i just want à computer that won't brake or fail in à year, i want à computer that wont get slow or crash :P. So what would u advise me ??
My situation and ive been lookin for over two months :/ but you may be able to help me :P soon ill start university and i Will most use it for writting writting and writting, and i will be using à LOT of math equations and physics and 3D modells, thats school, when i have time
Haha i almost couldn't believe when you Said in the begining " you're probably wanting to but computer and dont know if to but à Mac or Windows " Coz this is exactly
PC is a generic term which can be used to refer to either a Mac or Windows. You seem to be confusing it with WIndows. Just thought I'd clarify this. Good review though! Keep it up.
hi! thanks for your comparision, I have a 2007 old toshiba lol, this fall and im going to college so Im looking for a new laptop. Although my old toshiba is still ok I would like a new one, which one would you recommend? PC or Mac? I would use it for essays, outlook, skype, web, pictures, music, android phone and I d like to learn some pro photo shop and maybe video editing. Which one would you say is better? thumbs up*
Thanks for posting! In my opinion, I think both companys, and computers are great, they both give the competitor stuff to improve on, and compete for. Would love to see more vids from you! Been a real long time! Keep up the good work!
DONT BE SILLY MACS ARE SHIT.THEY SHIT FOR GAMES THEY STUPID
THEY ARE TO SIMPLE. ITS A BABY TOY ITS FOR DISABLED PEOPLE. THEY IS NOT MUCH ICT ON IT THERES NOTHING MUCH TO LEARN ABOUT IT.ITS SHIT. MAC BURN IN HELL
Just 1 point, i wouldnt say mac's are more secure at all, infact just due to the constant prodding and poking of hackers on windows it without a doubt is more "secure", and for all this prodding they consistently release updates and fixes to prevent these different exploits. Whereas osx hasnt had this sort of attention from hackers to find all these holes, so there isnt the same research and implementation of prevention, its kinda like beta testing for glitches. We need a new OS

In a nutshell:
Mac - for people who want something that just works, and/or people that don't know much about technology.
PC - For people that know what they're doing, even though it's not all that hard to install an antivirus.

video flawed very flawed
1.hardwhere,if you know what your doing you proboly want a windows (or linux for the pros)
since you can get parts that are by FAR better, if you have no clue mac is for you
2. viruses nul and void since mac uses the same scipts and memory as windows
3. price yes...
in end mac isgood for the general person but it has lost most of all it's advanteges

There are approximately two billion Computers in the world.
6% of that is Mac’s, So that means about 120,000,000 Mac users.
2% of that is Linux/Free BSD, Then there are about 40,000,000 Linux/Free BSD users.
So that just leaves the 92% or the 1,840,000,000 Windows users.
You can rant and rave about how your Mac is equal to a super computer, but in the end about 1,720,000,000 more people prefer Windows over Mac.

1). Windows works with almost all hardware
2). PC's running Linux Mint , or PC-BSD are more virus proof than Mac. Linux, and BSD PC's are more secure than Mac
3). Linux includes free software like LMMS, openshot , inkscape, Gimp, Blender 3D 2.5 , and over 4,000 other free programs
4). Windows works better with X-BOX
