In case theres people who dont know - this song is about Edinburgh, Scotland. My hometown. This song is so vivid that it virtually takes me to the places in the city it talks about, it brings me good memories of each place. Add to this that it captures the somewhat ghostly atmosphere of the city at night (visit the place and youll get exactly what im talking about). Amazing song and very nostalgic for me.  If met mark knopfler id say thanks for this song, he hit the nail right on the head.
