@leebone98 Interchangable barrels are important, if one heats up too much and begins to malfunction which can happen in an intense firefight from firing a lot of rounds. And usually a longer barrel increases accuracy and power(however slightly).

The Steyr build by Austria? The rifle was invented in Australia by a Migrant who moved to Australia. The country of Austria might have bought the Patent Rights but the Rifle Steyr was invented here in Australia. When the Inventor approached the Australian Government to sell the Patent Rights to them they ignored the Inventor because Australia liked the USA rifles but years later the Australian Military began to use the Rifle Steyer. Many Australian Patent Rights have been sold to other countries

The AUG is modular, you just haven't heard about it cos they are not eveywhere like the M4 is. They have iron sights on the top of the scope (although very basic), 203s can be fitted to them, along with lasers & lights. A somple google search would have told you that. I'm not saying which rifle is better, cos I have never used an M4, but don't talk about stuff you know nothing about.

I agree, but the AK-47 is made from stamped parts, just like all other Russian wapons. That means the odds of it jamming are decreased significantly. And it will fire with dirt in it, but it won't fire with EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS of dirt in it (for argument's sake, 4 grams). It will fire with mud, water, or blood in it; It was made to last. And you're right, it's effective range is short but it more than makes up for it in stopping power. Compared to an M16 or an M4, I'd take the AK any day.

You are right in a way. Ak-47's are for militaries that are either poor, or have too many soldiers, so they have to equip them with cheap ak's.

Now, rich militaries, that have all the money they want*USA*, are able to epuip their soldiers with more marksman-like rifles.

From 600yds, the ak is useless, and 600yds is the average range of the m16.

When ur in combat ur not open barrel so it's more about accuracy and range but I like the famas I think the aug is close quarters but longer you want the famas. why go short? oh yeah the aug is an assault rifle not a sniper put a scope on it watch the bullets land short and in the wind.
