  • This is awesome!

  • I think I heard a Modulator in the background...

  • I've seen one of these up-close before (they're huge by the way) the ASC logo is just a sticker. They probably took it off for aesthetics.

  • and people say that 2001s are better.. yea right 2001s SUCK!!

  • It sounds so smooth and clean!

  • Its ubercharged

  • OUCH! on the bee sting

  • this is Lucas arts thx sound omg so loud

  • I really like the T-128. I feel it is the only siren worthy of replacing a thunderbolt, especially 1000s since they soundsimilar. Way to go ASC.

BTW how many ports does this siren have?

  • @Ouranos94 T-128s are 8 Port.

  • @Ouranos94 Oddly, T-128 wind downs sound very similar to my town's 1000 wind down.

  • awesome vid. I'm guessing this is an older T-128? Loved the attack cycle btw.

  • Whats the exact location of it?

  • is it me, or does this thing speed up when the chopper motor disengages & slows down when the motor re engages?

  • @DigitalEagleInc There's probably more power available to the rotator when the chopper motor is off, since it runs off the batteries all the time.

  • @guitarguy19852 2001 sirens do the same thing

  • Very Nice T*128, heard the slight pitch drop in alert.

and how did you get stung by a bee?

  • Awesome sounding T-128, Nick! :)

  • I think I know where this siren is. Is this the siren by the former Abbey Hotel?

  • That'd be the one.

  • @guitarguy19852 i have seen one of these in panama city it goes off everyday at 5pm but on saturdays its 9am 12pm 5pm 9pm 12am it does attack for 3minutes with each call

  • Lol @ the description.

  • AWESOME Sounding T-128. Fast rotation on this than most i've seen.

  • Did the pitch change during the alert mode?

  • The pitch dropped a bit, though it wasn't that abrupt, I had to edit out part of the alert signal to make the video smaller.

  • Do you know how long its been there? If its from the 90s, it could be an Excel T-128

  • Excellent sounding T-128! That is my favorite pitch too.

  • WOW! that is awesome quality! great video

  • Awesome video Nick! Might be an Excel version of it, which is what they were known as between switching from ACA to ASC. Judging by the pitch and how the tone seems to drop a hair during the alert cycle, this is most likely a DC-only version that uses the battery bank 100% of the time it's running.

  • I'm not surprised it dropped in pitch, the alert signal went on for so long that I had to cut it short. Do you know when the switch happened exactly? I believe most if not all Bettendorf's T-128s were installed in mid-2005.

  • @guitarguy19852 I believe the switch from Excel to ASC came about somewhere in the early-mid 2000s, as Excel was founded in '98, which is when the first T-128 was produced. With Bettendorf's I'm not 100% sure, because they were made in that period when it really could've been either one. But judging by the way it lacks decals and has all separate boxes for the controls, batteries and rectifier, it's most likely an Excel version. ASC usually has one large box that incorporates everything into it.

  • @murrfarms According to Clayton Werden, they installed the 1st T-128 built in Harrison Twp. outside of Cincy.
