Personally I really like the beginning parts first. Those spider drones, the ship, I think far more attention to detail is taken in them than the later part, and they're pretty badass regardless.

The X series was the best MM series for me.. I find the Classic's plot too bland, Legends was great but it doesn't have the MM feel to it (an action adventure), Zero was pretty ok, but the rest (ZX, Star Force, Battle Network) feels like they had nothing to do about what MM is sans the name

@supersketch008 i think command mission was a shot at a rpg style of gameplay. wether it is true or not it does not affect the story. maybe this isnt a story thing maybe it was just another mission. its not like theres games for all there missions just the key missions important to the story. there was a 10 year gap between x4 and x5 but not 10 games.

Ah, I remember picking this up. I rented it, expecting a weekends worth of entertainment, before letting this title fall out of mind. What did I think of it? Well, let's just say after I returned the rental copy, I went out and bought it. It was fun, but my only lament was how short it was. It's a shame they ended the X series, cause a second Mission would be great. Spider was pretty cool.

Actually in a recent interview, Inafune stated that he is considering on making an X9. Besides, they can't just end the series on a cliffhanger! Just look at the Classic series!

Well, the main creator of Megaman/Rockman isn't responsible for this. He has planned the X series to end till X5 and X6-8 was never his intention at ALL (thus he never created Axl). Therefore, news for what might happen to an X9 will still be on waiting. Fans could just keep their fingers crossed though.

X was the strongest of the Mega Man series if I am right. But in terms of the Protagonist Reploids, I believe Zero is considered the strongest.
