@Schalton2, I was able to get some code from the SLX mod which seems to preserve equipment for even longer than 240 minutes while swimming forward. However, last night I swam for about 20 minutes toward an enemy ship. I made it to the ship, planted a charge, and was swimming away a few hundred meters from the boat when it opened fire and I lost my gear. I think I was injured and that caused me to lose my gear. So I need to do another test. Rounds only penetrate a small amount below the water.

If you fix that ugly bug that appears so often (2:52 for example) this will be a great mod.
