@SirChristopherGorton As did I! Only when I've gotten older and watched "Get Smart" did I realize "Holy Crap! It's Inspector Gadget!" He was a great comedian and he'll always have a place in my heart.
The best. Get Smart was part of my childhood, my teenager and my adult life here in Brazil. Even more after I learned english in TEXAS. Very, Very creative... The only thing to come close would have to be "SEINFELD". I love and always wil love, agentent 86, 99, the chief, agent 13.... Miss you all forever
oh.....sem a internet eu jamais veria estas imagens...vi muito agente 86 durante minha infância, não perdia um episódio se quer e adorava...Estou emocionada!!!!
I'm guessing what you're saying is thank you for the video. It gave you great emotions and you liked it? I had fun making it! Thanks for your nice comment. Have a great day!
He does doesn't he? In some of the episodes of Season 3, 4, and 5, you can see his true Don Adams expressions come out of the Maxwell Smart character. He was certainly a genius of comedy in his own way that makes him stand out much more than many of the comedians today if you ask me. I am working on several other music videos for Get Smart for my site so keep an eye on my site!
I heard it and wasn't sure if it would match with Don Adams but I found enough pictures to do it and am happy with the way my musical photoslide turned out.
Ooh! Can relate to you there BIGGIE TIME! I remember when I purchased my full "GET SMART" DVDs with Seasons 1 through 5 and finished them in a week and a half!
I honestly wouldn't waste much time on the Steve Carell version. If you have seen it, that's cool. I liked parts of it but didn't feel like it was a true adapation of the show or captured the true spirit of it.
I think the final episode of the fifth season is my favorite.
Thank you for you kind comment. Always glad to tribute Don.
I actually saw the Steve Carrell version before -any- of Don's work.. It was ok, but I NEEDed to know about its origins. Oh boy am I glad I did :D You're so right about it not capturing the spirit.. Never mind though. It lead me to the truth ;)
Btw, just saw the Nude Bomb (shame) and Get Smart Again (Hurrah!) today..
That's how I discovered the original show, too! I began searching Youtube for every clip I could find until I decided, "I need to buy the first season." I have been "Loving It"! ever since!
First season is by far the freshest, then the third, second, fourth, and finally, the fifth season.
I had heard Don Adams did NOT enjoy working on the Nude Bomb film. I'm sure he enjoyed working on the Get Smart Again movie much more so.
Did you know Don was the voice of Inspectro Gadget?
I haven't realy assessed the series as for which was the best, myself, but I had heard Don Adams didn't like the Nude Bomb, yes.
And as an Inspector Gadget fan, when I first saw some real Get Smart a couple of months back, my initial thoughts were alog the lines "hey, I _know_ that voice..." :D
Would you believe that I had to look it up to be sure? :P
Loved your tribute to what was once my favorite comedian, and is still one of the all-time greatest. I look forward to future releases. Thank You!
A major Get Smart fan since '67, I would have to say that the show peaked in year 4 with the marriage, and its opening up of entirely new comedic situations. Then years 3, 5, 2, and 1, respectively, making it, along with The Mary Tyler Moore Show, one of those rare series that, all things considered, actually improved with age.
It's a song that grew on me. I wanted to search for pictures that best emulated who Don Adams was, not just as Maxwell Smart but as himself. There was so much more to him than the Maxwell Smart character than people gave him credit for.
It's why I would've loved to have seen him do some work on another of my favorite shows "The Twilight Zone" or do a film in drama, mystery, or something different to his comedy!
Even take on the role of a villain! Versatile man, Don Adams.
Would you believe that I like it, would you believe that it's the most brilliant peice of art work that the human eye has ever beheld, how does I ADORE it grab ya? ;)
That's Lucille Ball! Of "I Love Lucy" fame. She's quite possibly the greatest female comedian of all time. She had the expert timing and ability for physical comedy that Don possessed... two truly great comedians side by side! I love that picture! :)
I don't remember where on the Internet I got that picture because it was so late but I thought it was a photograph worth including because of my admiration for both of them, as people and as actor and actress.
It's from the episode "99 Loses CONTROL" I believe...Whatneverlies or ParryNormal or one of these folks could tell you. I have yet to see the other seasons so I couldn't tell you for certain. That's one of my favorite images, too.
Aaaaaw! amazing job!! haha i know exactly where a lot of those shots are from in the bloopers- i've watched those way too many times!!
best don tribute i've ever seen! he has the greatest smile! i love that man to pieces :) <3 <3 STUNNING job, justacornerstone!! somewhere in heaven don is laughing..... ;)
I never get tired of the bloopers. It's why I photographed certain moments from it that really exuberates Don's grin! He's got the whitest teeth I must say! lololol...
You wouldn't believe how late I stayed up into the night just searching for these images! I've got the bags under my eyes to prove it! lololol...But it's all worth it when I read these comments. :D
Thank you. I had many, many images to choose from but as you can see these were the ones that spoke best to me of Don himself. Some of the pictures are actually ones I photographed from the bloopers because there weren't enough photos on the web of him giving his smile.
Yes. I think Don would be rightly pleased with what I've made for him. :)
Thank you for your wonderful compliment. I appreciate it.
I really liked him as the voice of Inspector gadget
