I have a pitbull that we have had since he was 6 weeks old. I love pitbulls, but I would never adopt one that has been fought, or one I did not personally raise. I don't have enough trust in others to believe that the dog has been trained well. I have a 3 year old and if I brought home a dog that had been fought and the dog tore her face off because that's all it knows, I would never be able to live with myself. There are some dogs that just aen't friendly because of the owners.

shadowface, what the fuck makes you think most of us belong to peta? who the hell would support a domestic terrorist organization like fucking peta? however, dogs have many uses other than fighting. hunting, farm uses, and by the way, why is companionship not enough? it definitely says something about your character. one day you will face your judgement, so keep it up.

my dogs are properly trained and socialized. they dont bite of their own free will. however, they are extremely loyal and would without hesitation tear you apart if i told them to. this breed is classified as a working breed, therefore it has to have some sort of practical purpose, like weight pull or protection. my dogs are wonderful pets and guardians. and they have a knack for being able to distinguish between good and bad intentioned people.
