I would never spray a house... now that I think about it, i dont know of any quality jobs are done with spray. Two coats brush or roll with high quality durations paint is the only way to go. When i loose jobs to cheaper guys with sprayers its only the matter of a few years before that customer looks at thier neighbor who went with me and asks me to repaint thier house. Theres only one right way of doing things. It may not be cheap, but its right
Hello i like your tips on how to paint i was wonder what spray machine you use filter and spraytip you use for outside. What about inside what filter and spaytip do you use for inside. Can you tell me thanks.

omgg.. i need to buy a sprayer... i think im going to with the cash from my next roll paint job... im doin a house interior. its funny i think any idiot can paint but some people just arent patient enough for it.. i paint all day for cash its fun .. with music and a few beers yea.... i figure buying a sprayer will up my wage by like 10 an hour and move me close to 30
Don't skimp on the camera shots next time! I'd like to see the finished house! Second don't skimp on the colour specialists! This brown colour is really awful.
@Imigra This really depends on how the existing paint is fairing. if there is a lot of bare wood peaking though then a coat of primer probably would't be a bad idea. If the existing finish is still holing on well, then you can just go over that with two coats of finish.
Hey good video, I'm a painter myself and for laughs (i mean laughs) I been strolling thru so called pro painters on youtube. You wouldnt believe some of these guys. Anyways good tips. Remember the L.P. problem in the late 90's? Kinda looked like you had flex bind on the bottoms of the siding. But that was hardi plank huh? You did have a drop on that roof right???
Thank you. We will back brush or even back roll based on the substrate. This project was pre-primed masonite siding which had been painted once. The siding was very smooth and after the paint preparation, it was sealed. The airless sprayer we use pumps out almost a gallon of paint per minute. We can get alot of product on without having to back brush.
Thanks for the podcast. Why don't you demonstrate something instead of talking the entire time?

Not that that was your decision. Just sayin.

Do you recommend 1 coat primer and 1 coat paint? Or 1 coat primer, 2 coats paint? This is on previously painted cedar shake. Thanks!
