In no professional lingerie store there it is acceptable that someone (a man!) touches you and your boobs, closes the hooks on your bra or walks in on you when you are changing. The band of the bra goes UNDER the boobs, not above, so you should measure the width tightly underneath your breasts, then measure the widest part of the breasts. If you get 34 inches underneath the boobs, you don't buy 34 - you buy 32, because it needs to be tight. Than substract the 32 from the breast measurement and check some web site for your size.

You do not go for a bra that is tight when you get a proper fitting.

@nicolebaresi yes, you don't buy "too tight" bras, but the band needs to be tight, because the weight of the breasts should be in about 80% "taken off" the shoulders and back by the band - do you understand? If you have 34 inches underneath your breasts and you buy a 34 bra it will expand too much and there's no use of it, because the band would go up on the back, towards the neck, which we don't want. Some bras don't need to be bought with smaller bands, but usually they do.
