  • Hey I live in sacramento I bought enough swimbaits to bankrupt me and want to hit up some stripers any suggestions?

  • @Krisp456 - I hear there are quite a few stripers up the rivers right now. The water temp is still pretty cold, so bait fishing is probably going to produce the best results. Once it gets a little warmer out, the swimbait bite should really start turning on. The beginning of March is usually a good time to target the stripers out on the California Delta.

  • any tips for late april im headed there for the first time hopefully in a couple weeks

  • @colbybassmaster Most of the bass should be spawning at Clear Lake by the end of April. It's been a cold spring and the water temp is just now reaching the low 60's. We have had quite a bit of rain this winter, so Clear Lake is almost full, and the water is quite clear. Sight fishing the backwater sloughs around Lakeport should be productive. Good Luck!

  • Nice bass. Were you fishing a tourny? Little big to fillet.

  • No, I just keep them in my live well for a while so I can get some pictures later. I always release any bass I catch before the end of the day.

  • nice bass
