HOWEVER what does make a guy gay is the color he chooses. As suggested in the video it is wise for fellas to stick to solid, striped, dark colors. Anything bright will definately raise eyebrows and questions...

No one said anything about gay. It is just not masculine to hide from the elements unless they are severe. It is okay to go out in the cold and complain about how cold it is, as long as you stay outside, but it is just not okay to wear a scarf when its not freezing cold outside. Anyone can be masculine, but they cannot do so while wearing a fashion scarf unless that is the only thing they are wearing.
