If you didn't know this song, title or it's o-so-famous melody, you could envision this as the sound of soft "bluesy" Surf Rock in the 70's had the whole genre phenomenon not been truncated in the pop scene. Another example of the current trend with Surf bands covering and rearranging traditionally non-Surf songs. Excellent!
