BTW, the reason the Timepiece cave blocks up is because you used the secret passage in the Crystal Room (under the floor in the box). After awhile the Timepiece cave will completely seal itself up, which gives you a finite amount of times to go back there for stuff. So if you don't finish the game quickly you never will. Using the whip or revolver on the barrier walls allows you to revisit the Timepiece cave as many times as you want.
I think the best way would be to pop one of the million zits on your face and actually do something other than bath in twinkies and doritos, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER!!!
I spent SO MUCH time figuring this game out! It was REALLY hard cause I didn't know anyone who had this game and, of course, we didn't have the help of the internet. I was so pleased to finish it and then... no way to save it. So cool to see this again!!! Thanks for posting!!!
ha ha! I've now got this game for my 2600 - but I do remember it from back in the day - I hired it from the local video shop, and the guy said to me if I could complete it and show him how I could have any game in the shop I wanted - safe to say he didnt lose out! - bloody no chance of completing this when I was 8 years old!
@quentil I did too! But it helped that I sent off for the hint book from Atari to help me. Nice hint book with lots of cool artwork. I wish I still had that now just for sentimental value (and to scan into .PDF). :(
I bought this game at Woolworth's with my Christmas money back in '82.But it was not until Electronic Games Monthly gave the how-to-directions in their April 83 edition;that is when I could finally complete the game
There's no sound because, for some strange reason, Hypercam isn't eltting me record sound. And yeah, t he real hard part was the parachute thing... it pissed me off trying to do that, having to do it over and over again.
@stevenscottoddballz That parachute part was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE. One of the most difficult tasks in video gaming history.. Sux because I only landed it like once or twice and then died.
@elvinsimontheodore It takes a lot of trying to "get the feel" for catching that limb just right. But once I had it down-pat, I could do it quite easily then. But it may take many, many, MANY tries to get that right hehehe
What emulator are you using?

What was going on at 1:52 - 2:21?
And how did you get through the wall?
shawbros 1 year ago
@shawbros It's a secret passage down there that only works sometimes, so, it takes a bit of running into the same spot.
azzarox6661 1 year ago
@azzarox6661 It's always there, you just need to find the right spot :)

Another was Adventure.

Man, I never solved this game as a kid. I'm so glad someone posted how to beat it!

same here :)

@lfholt7 Of course you didn't. The parachute sequence was impossible.

I somehow managed to beat this game as a kid. And for awhile, I loved it.

Was a bizzare game this was for an 8 year old. I had no chance at beating this back then.

The first time I tried playing this game was around the same age, around 8 or so. I just completed it yesterday.
I celebrate my 35th birthday in three weeks.

I actually like this game. Played all the way through about a year ago via emulation.

You drop the coins to buy things at the store... that's right, you actually DROP the coins
azzarox6661 3 years ago
And don't forget - you must be touching the item you want when you drop coins in order to get it.
And don't touch the merchant when buying or you'll lose your money!

Is there a reason there's NO sound? I had this game. The HARD part for me was using the parachute to catch the limb.
