    - and I was even around then.........

  • R.I.P Jimmy Mcshane!

  • Fantatic Mauriccio Bassi & Naimi Hackett.

    The best of the best.

    Mitic .

  • @Italodancers Yup, vocals and composer are still alive...

  • He looks like a really gay cross dresser in the Tarzan Boy clips.

  • @espn2390 Hey, that what he really was ;)

  • The real voice of Baltimora is of Maurizio Bassi...

  • This is so damn nostalgic. I can smell the eighties coming from the monitor.

  • Tantos recuerdos, cada vez q la escucho me dan ganas de llorar, Baltimora por siempre, aunque haya sido gay pero era un buen interprete.

  • this is an underrated song...everyone knows about Tarzan boy...but boy this is pure 80s !!!

  • "More fanstuff made by my cousin composed of Northern Irish dancer and singer Jimmy McShane (aka Baltimora) video moments"

Er, you do realise that it wasn't him that sang the songs for Baltimora? He was basically just the image of the band, whilst the producer provided the vocals. He was still a cool guy, undoubtedly a great dancer and presence on stage. RIP Jimmy.

  • Gets me in the mood for Kung Pao Beef.

  • He will not be forgotten. Great performer.

  • Does anyone think this fruitcake looks like dolph lundgren mated with lurch? Or how about David Bowe with a Romulan? AIDS...Bouya!

  • I adore this song!!!! *****

  • awesome video

  • It makes me remind a friend who had the vinyl album in 1987. Good song.

  • Darn, this song is cool, but I can't find it anywhere.

  • @theboombody I found it on Vinyl the first LP, only has six actual tracks and two single versions, but well worth a listen

  • is it just me or do anyone feel irish white is the whitest among all white people ?

  • Yes it is just you, seeing as the irish are more closely related to the (swarthy) Basques of southern europe than they are to the white peoples of western europe, I would say you are talking out of your arse. The whiteness your are seeing is in the most part thanks to the English (blue eyed, Anglo-Saxon) people who conquered the country, and gave them the language you`re are using.

  • The black Irish who go back to the Moors are the REAL Irish.

  • awesome! I wanna listen to baltimora, lay by the pool in LA and drink grolsch for the rest of my life.

  • I'm so chair dancing to this right now.

  • I have the LP of Baltimora with this song on vinyl. Bought it in a small shop in Warsaw for some shity money. ;-)

  • i love this song so much but i must swear i dont really get the lyrics...anyone has any idea how one can get the lyrics

  • un altro bel pezzo firmato jimmi mc shane

  • Is there any interview with jimmy mcshane

  • Uma viagem à Chinatown!!!

  • one thing will everyone agree, nothing matches the music of the 80's. great song, great music. i love balti mora. 80's rock

  • So true.

  • I remember seeing a Listerine commercial about 20 yrs ago. The refrain resonated with me so, I never forgot it. Unfortunately I never heard the song anywhere else, not once. Just a week ago on easy listing station in my car it was played. I almost wrecked getting the title! Funny how the universe works. I was so disapointed Jimmy McShane had died. Of course he was gay but he could have been a huge, huge star! I hope that wonderfuly talanted man rests in peace. Any opionions on the lyrics?

  • I love his videos, they always make me smile, especially the Tarzan Boy song, that one always brightens my mood. And of course it does not matter if he was gay. A person can be gay in one life, straight in the next, there are no clear distinct lines or boxes. Jimmy was a good person, he didn't deserve to get HIV/AIDS and die alone and poor, and he doesn't deserve all the disrespectful and rude things that are said about him online. God bless him, and I wish him happiness wherever he is now.

  • @mayonakagardenia I said the same thing either on this video or another one. I just we could have been there to be with him......I'm no nurse but I'd do what I could and do it very well!

  • @mayonakagardenia YOu said it perfectly!!!!

  • @mayonakagardenia I agree with you !

  • @mayonakagardenia

Well Said!!! I fully agree! Thank for your tribute.

  • This is a good 80's song....

  • magnific cantec. Very good

  • Excellent - reminds me of David Bowie's work.

  • in my clumsiness i put sole when i meant soul rip jim mcshane xxx

  • a beautiful irish man-bless his sole.

  • this video is for me the best , of best songs

  • some say that McShane didn'nt sing his songs. Some say rubbish...what's the truth?

  • the truth is that he was a flaming homosexual

  • Unfortunately the truth is he didn't. It was in fact the producer who does the vocals and saw McShane one day at a club and really liked his dance moves and wanted him to front Baltimora.

  • il video e ben fatto si abbina molto bene anche il pezzo!! musica cosi' non la faranno piu' a distanza di anni rimane sempre la migliore...claudio75

  • SERINCLEY! YES - IT IN THE BEST!!!!

  • frankly tarzan boy was the greatest song

  • i like 80's!!!!!!!!!!!

    RIP Jimmy

  • I like very much his songs, but unfortunately he died:((...very very very good musician and, CONGRATULATIONS for all songs. And another one...who say he was a gay, is the stupid of the Earth. ;)

  • Sorry to tell you, yes Jim McShane was gay. Sad but true. However he was a wonderful man none the less. He'll be sadly be missed by all of us who have come to know and love him.

  • So...can you tell me where do you know if Baltimora was gay?:-/... :D

  • Dude as much as I love Jim, everyone especially his fans knew he was gay. How do you think he got AIDS? He had quite a few partners. He found out he had AIDS while in Italy. The first HIV test he went for came back negative. He went back for a second one 6 months later & it came back positive. He was living with a man not knowing the man had AIDS. Jim went on tour in the US & returned to find their house boarded up & the man dead. No one contacted Jim about it. He found out on his own.

  • The singer Dee D. Jackson who was very good friends with Jim told me this so yes it is true.

  • I dont get it... why on earth is it sad that he was gay? There is nothing wrong with being gay!

  • Beats the hell out of me.

  • I just found out, tonight, this man was dead. I'm very saddened by this so is my wife. He was a musical idol through my teens (I'm 29 now). What's wrong with being gay, you ask? Look I know many dont belive in this, but look, brother. Think about your body and the complexity of how it all works. Stand in the bathroom for a few min and think about this for a few min. You really think it was all an accident? We have a creator, we should consider his teachings. Cheers brother :)

  • Jimmy McShane, the frontman of Baltimora, died on 29 March 1995, of complications from AIDS.

  • Baltimora fue un pionero del euro-pop, del dance y del synthpop

  • congratulations excelent artist..

    80 is the best....

tremendo artista como todo lo del 80

  • The dancing in the beggining makes me think of silly thoughts.

  • This brings me back to my best times...like a sunnny day, watching the nice view of a green forest in summer, next to my girlfriend, listen great tunes like this... Is Very nostalgic. We Miss Jimmy McShane! :(

  • Those great early 80's days were, in some ways, my best. This song summons up all of that.

  • I love this Music

    RIP Jimmy

  • mustafa sanlada benzio :)

  • esta es una de mis favoritas sin duda un clasico irrenplazable saludos amigos para los fanaticos de este genero desde HUANCAVELICA-PERU Y PARA EL COLEGIO PITAGORAS DEL PROF. SACHA

  • Nice job! I admire Jimmy McShane so much, and there isn't one Baltimora song I dislike. Too bad there isn't more about him online :(

  • Yeah he was cool

  • This guy knows how to sing, but not how to dress.

  • Are you kidding me? Jim McShane's clothes as well as his earing and red glasses were his signature style. That's what made him who he was. He was a very unique person because he was flashy!! So where's the repect?

  • One of my favour artist, a shame he stop making music, 'course he was really talented. May you rest in peace

  • love this song!

  • His music conjures up my wonderful 80's days, some of the best in my life. Hearing this makes me yearn to be back there twenty years ago. That music had such a special feel and so much of it captured my good times and feelings. This song is almost haunting.

  • The first album is "Living in the Background" (1985) and the second album is "Survivor in Love" (1987) released only in Italy.

  • Actually, he released two albums! Some brilliant songs, unfortunately for the most part forgotten about.

  • One of my favourite artists of the 80s era. A very much underated artist. He made about 3 or 4 songs but boy each one a 80s masterpiece. In particular Key Key Karimba, Tarzan Boy and this one Chinese Restaurant. Wherever you are Jimmy McShane rest in peace. He was simply brilliant

  • Nice! I'm a big Jimmy McShane fan!
