friend of mine used to maek the movie sets for major hollywood movies and he said his favorite actor was Robin. In the movie Jamanji robin sinks through the floor. and in real life he was stuck for hours. he had the whole set crew laughing there heads off as he improvised a this old house skit.

Yeah, sad thing is Robin is one of very few who actually didn't totally f*ck up his life and\or die because of the " great stuff". Maybe it made some great comics come out with some very funny stuff, but it's killed a lot of them too, so IMO the stuff sucks.

Robin Williams is one of the only entertaining stand-up comedians. He doesn't dumb it down for his audience. His appeal actually comes from all the rapid-fire half gibberish he speeds through during his sets (in dozens of different voices). It's different than the "women are like this, but men, men are like this" routines of all the joe six-pack comics out there,
