There is also a part in the Bible when Jesus is on the cross where he says to Mary and I think Paul... I use to be Buddhist, so I know what you mean. I chose this religion based on research of many churches. You must realize that the Catholic church is older than the Bible itself, for 500 years there was nothing but oral teachings passed down from Jesus and his friends to Priest to Priest to this day. There is a unbroken line for the last 2000 years. The Bible is not this entire religion, it is only 1/3 of it. Did the first Christians for 500 years before Catholics made the bible go to hell?

As for using the Bible against the Catholic church, Christianity is 500 years older than the Bible. The Catholic church is the only Christian church to exist during the first 1500 years of Christianity and we created the Bible. Protestants use a changed version of the true Bible. They are missing 7 whole books of the old testament and changed parts of the new testament. God honors his mother, what makes you think you should do anything different?
Much of what the Catholics do is supported by the Bible, the unchanged Bible, keep in mind you're missing 7 whole books. These 7 were lost when Martin Luther created his own Bible. When Alexander the great took over and ruled much of the known world, all the old Hebrew texts (The old testament) were copied in Greek. The Hebrews would not let him copy the Greek texts as part of the old testament because they were at the time fighting being too Greek and losing their culture. Martin Luther then created his own version of the Bible, a Bible missing 7 books of the old testament and that he had changed concepts in the new testament. If you look into these 7 books of the true unchanged unaltered original, all texts included Bible, you will see that alot of Catholisim IS supported by the actual Bible.

In order for Mary to be Queen, she would have to have the same qualities as Jesus, which is that she would have to be an uncreated being. First of all, it is scientifically proven that confession phycologically helps free people of sins. God knows this, and you are not confessing to the Priest, but to God through the Priest. There is also a part in the Bible when Jesus is on the cross where he says to Mary and I think Paul... "Woman take your son, son take your mother" His apostles were his church, there for he is saying Mary is the mother of the church, which makes sense, she's Jesus' mother, who is by definition the church. I use to be Buddhist, so I know what you mean. I chose this religion based on research of many churches. You must realize that the Catholic church is older than the Bible itself, for 500 years there was nothing but oral teachings passed down from Jesus and his friends to Priest to Priest to this day. There is a unbroken line for the last 2000 years. The Bible is not this entire religion, it is only 1/3 of it. Did the first Christians for 500 years before Catholics made the bible go to hell?

As for using the Bible against the Catholic church, Christianity is 500 years older than the Bible. The Catholic church is the only Christian church to exist during the first 1500 years of Christianity and we created the Bible. Protestants use a changed version of the true Bible. They are missing 7 whole books of the old testament and changed parts of the new testament. God honors his mother, what makes you think you should do anything different?

Much of what the Catholics do is supported by the Bible, the unchanged Bible, keep in mind you're missing 7 whole books. These 7 were lost when Martin Luther created his own Bible. When Alexander the great took over and ruled much of the known world, all the old Hebrew texts (The old testament) were copied in Greek. Some Hebrew texts were lost (7 books) when Catholics made the Bible they didn't care if it was Hebrew, Latin or Greek. But when Martin Luther created his own, the Hebrews would not

The Hebrews would not let him copy the Greek texts as part of the old testament because they were at the time fighting being too Greek and losing their culture. Martin Luther then created his own version of the Bible, a Bible missing 7 books of the old testament and that he had changed concepts in the new testament. If you look into these 7 books of the true unchanged unaltered original, all texts included Bible, you will see that alot of Catholisim IS supported by the actual Bible.

I grew up Catholic. I am now an Episcopalian. I have never worshiped Mary, Idols, or Saints. I am saved by the grace of Christ and in "communion" with the Saints, including Mary. They needed the Savior to be saved. I read the Bible and "judge not lest you be judged."

I didn't watch the whole thing, mostly cause they said we pray to Marry. This video is just full of common misconceptions of the Catholic church. They try to use scripture alone to understand things the Apostles taught us 500 years before the CATHOLIC CHURCH put the bible together. Can put the WHOLE meaning of life into a single book =P Sorry. We don't pray TO marry, we ask Marry to pray for US, just like you can ask your friend to pray for you. Marry is the Queen of Heaven, but JESUS IS KING!!!

Mary is not Queen of Heaven. I understand your side declares that Mary had to be sinless, but scripture states "for all have sinned". I understand that Catholics teach that Mary had to be a sinless vessel for Jesus to reside in, just like the Ark. But guess what? God lives in US, SINFUL VESSELS.

@GuamKomudo So how do you get that Mary is the Queen by Jesus saying to Peter "Behold your mother"? I don't get your explanation. Mary is a created being. Jesus is NOT a created being. In order for Mary to be Queen, she would have to have the same qualities as Jesus, which is that she would have to be an uncreated being. Mary is no different than the rest of us, in that FOR ALL HAVE SINNED. That is a direct statement, excluding no one. Jesus is God, so it excludes God, but not mankind.

I also find it astonishing that Catholics conclude that Peter is the first Pope when Peter wasn't even in Rome to begin with. That was Paul's territory, his "mother" country, his turf, as he was a Roman citizen. Peter's responsibility was to the Jews, not Gentiles. However, scripture states, FOR ALL HAVE SINNED. That includes your queen.

@GuamKomudo Life, or living, requires a body (James 2:26), and without one, you are dead. The body that Mary, David, and all those with Jesus is that of Christ, hence the term, the Body of Christ. If you analyze the word, Christian, you will notice that this means "lives in Christ". it is the "ians" at the end of the word Christ that indicates this. For example, Canad-ians live in Canada. Christians live in the Body of Christ, hence, Christians. They have eternal life, and are living.

@TheSonandDaddy The word "Trinity" isn't in the Bible either. You can read about what is called the "rapture" in both I & II Thessalonians and in Revelations. BTW, the Trinity is God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit. Mary is NOT a god. You are not to bow down and worship anyone but God, that is, the father of the son. The Holy Spirit, if you are born again, lives in you. Praying to anyone outside of God is not Biblical.

Jews don't even accept Jesus as a king or as the messiah. so what they would consider Mary is of little meaning. Catholics worshiping her goes against what is stated in the bible as proper behavior of a mortal, which after all is what she was.

Actually, it wasnt in disrespect. If Jesus had disrespected his mother, than he could not fully honor her like the commandments said of all jews. Therefore, it must have been a reference to the title of eve as Woman. She is the new eve, yet unlike eve.. she did not fall into the serpents trap.
