Way to tell it. My dad was addicted to crack. he had to go buy it from bad people when he needed a fix. This led to him being shot in the head during a deal gone bad. He survived (thank god) and is now clean. If he could have got his drugs from a safe place, a place that would also promote rehab, he might not have been shot. And he might have gotten help sooner...
Thank you for fighting to end this injustice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...
Prohibition is a mockery of responsibility and persons. It eventually results in sending responsible people in jail, and in offering the power to the irresponsible.
It makes drugs proliferate wildly everywhere. It enriches all the criminals and liars. It corrupts all the roots of democracy. Cops from LEAP are real heros. Thanks for the hope.
There is a massive desire in the U.S to decriminalize marijuana and yet the laws against it keep getting tougher...further proof our politicians don't give a damn about what we want.
Man the emotion in your voice brought me to tears. I have joined LEAP and trying to get others to stand up and join.We must stop this! We cant help our nation, our world if the greed of money and evils of men rule us. Emprisoning people for simple drug use will never help anyone.
My hope is that one day we will look back in history at drug prohibition the same way we currently look at practices like slavery: As something totally unreasonable, the cause of immeasurable suffering and social damage.
Prohibition can end in our lifetime, and there is nothing that would make me happier and more hopeful for the future than if we could come together and take the only sane course of action and end prohibition.
I'm going to google hempfest to see if it ever comes to the east coast. This is great stuff. I wonder if they sell hemp T-shirts--I bet they would last longer than my cotton ones.
This guy totally reminds me of Jeff Bridges in The Men Who Stare At Goats.
Awesome.

Why were drugs outlawed?
Why did the war on drugs start ?
Can the war on drugs be won?
The one who can answer that is on who knows the answer to the chicken and the egg
problem?
Look at the Tao and the Logos what do you see...
Go back to the before and now what do you see...
