I also agree that the wolverine has too many characteristics comparable to a bear (like it's face and the way it runs) to be regarded as a weasel.

Wolverines are crazy because they're insanely fearless. Battles where they're grossly overmatched don't bother them at all. They'll chase down full grown 800-lb caribou and just bite off their legs and eat them.

There's a vid on YouTube of a wolverine coming across a pack of wolves eating a caracass; the wolverine ran right in there and drove them all away by being insane and ate the whole thing himself.
