  • never tried these arts, this video is pretty bad ass, conjures up some interest. thanks for posting

  • I have literally never seen such a detrimental workout.

    That's ridiculous.

  • this guy has CIPA...

  • Galing kay Edgar Sulite ng Lameco yung mga exercise na yan.

  • @sanddocon the answer is right in front of you ... read what and I said and think about it .

clue why would I be doing sticks for so many years if I didnt enjoy them , there is your answer .

  • ive been training over 2o years in diff sysstems of stick and all I can say is what a bunch of rubbish .

  • @Aeonnz what are u saying what they teaching is rubbish or stick fighting is rubbish?

  • @infernalphast9 would probably weaken the foundation, i guess it depends on how much you sand. try iron wood as they are much thicker than rattan sticks

  • Whoa. That's truly tough training.

  • And I was just looking for bdsm porn. Go time.

  • that was tough

  • WOW, this guy is so hardcore.

  • Spot on FreedomFighterUnion! Good to see someone gets it.

  • Oh haters, this is merely a short video with a few attribute training techniques, not the whole system. Grow up!

  • lol what you learned is only few... you dont know real eskrima or arnis... try real street stick figthing in the philippines..

  • liked it all but the flogging should be traing not to get hit then train to get hit

  • @randomdude1988

I think it shold be backwards, train to be hit first and then train not to be hit, that way if you're hit when training no to, you can resist and adapt, and keep training without the fear of being hit and injured.

  • damn.

  • @infernalphast9 hahahaha sure!

  • @infernalphast9 I totally agree with you.

  • that's killing not training.

  • damn

  • I've seen a lot of stupid shit throughout 20+years of training, but the "flogging" takes the cake. Getting hit and hurt in a force-on-force context and then fighting on is one thing - just standing there like a fool and taking this degree of abuse from some donut eating 350lb.monster is IMO psychologically and physically counter-productive.

  • @ollibygolli your in the wrong place kid

  • this is stupit

  • I cringed at the flogging.

    That looked SOOO painful o.e...

  • thats stupid. training should not be hurting youself

  • That guy is a hardcore masochist.

  • Here in the Philippines, we get our flogging when we do our sparring and fight.

  • ohah ,dude hes hard!!!

  • Flogging you serious......no bad for health and training....and potentially dangerous

  • sayoc kali is frightening

  • is the bone crusher a type of knuckle conditioning?

  • good that's the real eskrima body conditioning in philippines eskrima master do that in their student? train hard fight easy?

  • @johnnymean1 this is not incorrect conditioning. It is a form of pain transendence techniques that we integrate in the Sayoc Kali System. The idea isnt nessasarily to negate the instinctual aspects of flinching. And yes flinching is protective by nature. but we have found through our training and combat experience that just becuase its a "natural" reaction doesnt mean its the correct way or the most effective way to respond. This is not "training zero reaction".

  • @johnnymean1 ...this is training you to enhance your pain tolerance and not to show your opponent such emotions during a fight. the Romans and the Spartans also trained their armies in such tactics. as did the Roman gladiators as well. you bring up a good point however your not seeing the concept of what were doing. you think its one way when were actually emphazising something different. the hormones adrenalin and cortisol do not in all cases completley take care of pain tolerance....

  • @johnnymean1 its true to a certain point. you cannot rely on your bodies own "natural" responses in every situation, especially depending on the level of damage incurred from the fight itself.

    "we are....always flowing"

    Sayoc kali

    Unit Clr-37

  • @johnnymean1 To be flowing is exactly what the flogging is conditioning. It's leaving time for you to respond logically instead of impulsively. Most masters teach to prevent the adrenaline and corisol production as it clouds the mind and makes you extremely impulsive. It's not about ignoring the strike being done to you, it's about reacting to it without letting yourself be distracted by the pain and so forth associated with the strike.

  • Flogging? Hard I'm guessing but in a fight not showing pain must freak your opponent the fuck out.

  • IM sooooo gonnna do this

  • wow, I never seen anything like that before.

  • ouch. i'd rather be the one using the stick and train NOT to get hit.

  • can you do also with a knife?

  • @cinqueottavi i hope u don't mean flogging! hehe

  • Crazy!!!!!

  • That was just... nasty. Gotta try it!

  • good training but its old , i think in this moment tony jaa is the best

  • this is brilliant!!...

  • i think ill add these to my list of training regiment, thanks!!!

  • Outstanding.

  • a bit extreme for some, but I love it. thanks for sharing

  • waiiiit.... are you guys freakin kidding? I take part in another (to remain un-named) full contact stick organization and that seems a bit.... uuuuh... nuts??? I don't care if you are my WIFE (who I would never hit for any reason), if you whack me with 30 inches of rattan I am gonna hit you back HARD!!!! hahaha. wow man, I would love to try to get to your 2011 Sama Sama!! This is impressive. I sport those marks gladly myself, and I love the Sayoc vids!
