  • Looks like a beautiful sumi otoshi to me.

  • Is this enson inoue? sorry if thats an amateur question haha

  • I love Inoue's Uchimata! What's your favorite technique? Comment on my UCHI MATA VIDEO to let everybody know!! Lets see which throws are popular...

Check Out My Uchi Mata Video!

  • one good throw and the fight is over ...why ? it doesn't make sence .give him the points but let them fight on the ground ...

  • @hercmet

Those are the rules of judo and have always been. A throw that scores "ippon" ends the fight because it's assumed that it would incapacitate your opponent if it wasn't performed on tatami. You can keep fighting on the ground if the throw scored anything else than ippon.

  • Hate to disagree but it was an ouchi gari. If you want to know how you can tell definitively look at the kuzushi and the foot placement. This takes nothing away from the counter though, it is perfect. Kuzushi for Uchimata is not forward and to the side. Also, pay attention to his lapel grip.

  • this is not a counter to uchimata; the attacker was trying ouchigari. If you listen carefully you can even hear the commentator say this near the end.

  • awesome!!

  • This is what happens when you commit to an uchi mata and miss the leg :/ Yes I know he missed the leg because Inoue moved it, but the concept is still the same.

  • This guy personally taught me entries into uchi-mata

  • 内股すかしじゃないの?

  • godlike srsly.

  • Arguing about the name of the technique misses the point.

This is superb balance combined with feeling and anticipating the opponent.

  • fuck!!This is UNBELIEVABLE. It's like the guy did a summersault by himself...

  • dayyyyyyyyum how did he do that?

i don't know anythin' about Judo,

but hell, that ain't a luck,

i can see that he practiced that countlessly, everyday!

    hell, clean technique!

  • inoue looks so young in this.

  • It is Uki otoshi.

  • @oceanvioletblue its not uki otoshi, its uchi mata sukashi

  • @winoguitaro uchimata-sukashi is the technique to dodge opponent's uchimata. Here, Inoue standed Shimode's oouchi once, and after that he threw him with the arm force. trust me the comentary corrected after he said "it's uchimata-sukashi"

  • Some people are saying that was an uchimata attempt, well i beleave it was ouchi gari and yes indeed it was a perfect counter by Inoue the samurai

  • @edmocama

It was definately Ouchi Gari. To me, it looked as if it turned into an Uchimata as Inoue side stepped and thus got caught with Uchimata Sukashi. It was beautiful.

  • ufff la caña

  • uchi mata failure is capitalized. lol

  • Wow,

There are so many Uchi Mata specialists these days having a good Sukashi is becoming a must

  • @IskurBlast My coach always cites this study in which 60% of Judo wins by Ippon are from Uchi-Mata.

  • uchi mata sukashi is awesome im getting better and better at it since i randori with lots of ikkyu and nidans :D

  • Wow...i can't even see what he did...that was AMAZING!..

  • inoue lured him in, and he took the bait hook, line and sinker. beautiful throw.

  • WHAT WAS THIS????

  • 0:56 some lil boy took a picture of him xDDDD

  • accident?? are u crazy?!?!

    Perfect uchi mata sukashi!!!

  • he did a bad uchi mata.. if he went in more, it might not have happened

  • Naa this is what happens when you don't control the grips.

Inoue jammed his elbow he felt that coming in..

  • Perfect control by Inoue

  • Perfect timing, perfect balance and perfect kuzushi...

  • my opinion is that he flipped him self.

  • thats kinda the idea

  • uchimata sukashi for sure. great.

  • its an amazing counter. his kuzushi is flawless in this video. to all those non-judokas who do not find this amazing, well trust us judokas, its AWESOME.

  • damn, i was just countered a few days ago by this throw...

  • uchimata sukashi, simple but effective

  • Look at what hes doing, hes doing several things:

    1) hes avoiding the uchi mata by only millimeters, hes actually lifted from the ground before he

2)takes control over his opponents momentum, and applies a hand technique to push him off his center of gravity and finally spin him.

Summed up, he extends his opponents movement resulting in the opponent beeing thrown.

next time your leaving the ground beeing thrown in an uchi mata, try pull this one off. then you'll prolly get why its AMAZING ;)

  • Thank you for sharing your observation, however, you do get my point, right? To non-Judokas, this is not as "amazing" as boxing counter.

  • heh well i guess you'll have to know how the technique works to notice :) but to generalize and compare uncomparable things, i guess it can be looked at as getting the one you're boxing against to punch himself to the ground hehe

  • I'm not a judoka and I do find this amazing. Seems to test my understanding of the laws of physics, can't quite understand what makes him fly like that.

  • It's the simply using momentum.

The person doing the first attack is trying Uchi Mata (inner thigh throw). His right leg is coming up between his opponent's to perform a lifting movement. The hands would then rotate the body over the lift for the throw.

The opponent side-steps the reaping leg of the attacker, uses the momentum created (and his commital to the throw) and uses his hands to flip the attacker over onto his back.

Uchi mata sukashi - a lesser known, but very effective throw.

  • I think half of the impressiveness of the counter is at least the power of the uchimata. The guy committed big time and if you miss it sets this counter up.

  • which proves my favorite motto of 'bad attacks lead to GREAT counters' right. exactly why my sensei calls me the counter fighter

  • you just dont get the sport of judo...it is a counter because the other guy tried a throw and he counter with his own throw

  • Making a 250 pounds judo expert do a summersault in the air to fall flat on his back and making it seem effortless is more than AMAZING.

You obviuosly have not 'watched and experienced Judo counters' before.

  • your right. the ONLY slight flaw in your statement is the fact that you said he made the judoka summersault. the pupose of uchimata sukashi is to use your opponents speed and power against him. basic principle of judo. you push i pull. you pull i push

  • F=-F'

  • @nunotube yeah ur right

  • i love Inoue judo

  • he literally just moved out the way as the other giza commited himself to the throw...who cares what its called anyway lol

  • Very smart move!

  • def sukashi

  • Check out Shinohara's face @ 0.36...

  • uhuh~wat's wrong?

  • hell if he lost his balance like that, any1 cud have counter him and mak it look like a throw. look at how high he has entered for the uchimata... have u forgotten the kuzushi? he jus killed himself bcuz he cud nt do uchimata

  • you got a point, but not ANYONE got the reflexes and fast reaction to counter that, and one more thing, your arm must be very powerful to achieve that...

  • dats crap... it looks like uki otoshi but it seems more to me like that guy lost his balance and inoue jus pull the sleeve and drop on him to make it seem like a throw.

  • eh brother, that's counter, i bet you cant do this

  • its uchi mata sukashi, besides they show a replay in slow mo, so you can see how he counters the intial attack

  • Brilliant!
