Don't need to play the Audio Taunts every time you get a kill. I like to think blowing a hole through someone's head does a fine enough job of mocking them 'for' you.

I dont get it, i cant shoot a person with the sniper rifle(EVEN IF THEY STAND STILL FOR 2 SECONDS!) yet i can kill easy with the huntsman or air shot a scout in mid air with the rocket launcher or the grenade launcher.... does this mean im a fail sniper?

well it doesnt really matter how many bars you need for a headshot unless they are being healed by a medic. but anyways when all bars are full it does 150 damage and a headshot is a 3x damage multiplier.

Depends on the clan. Some require you to tryout and beat some of their best players, some will let you join if you play in the server often and have a good attitude.

I don't get what you're saying. In 2Fort, the Sniper's only purpose is to kill other snipers. If he has time to take aim at other classes he's lucky-- which sucks if you ask me.

no if you dont go on the battlements its you against everyone coming out the doors but constantly check for other snipers i do it everytime im on 2fort and i get 200 points i half an hour

@delkin525 Actually the sniper is a support class. He's supposed to help kill other snipers, yes. But also everything else. The danger comes in when other snipers try to stop him from doing that. On maps similar to 2fort, it's easy to avoid being shot by enemy snipers by using the lower entrence corners, provided enemy snipers aren't doing the same of course...

Play Counter Strike: Source then! The sniping on that is far more intense, and skillful! You'll automatically be good at sniper in TF2 if you were an AWP whore in CSS. ;)

However, just because I'm good at it doesn't mean I like it. I haven't played sniper in... 8-10 months? I almost ONLY play Spy. I tried playing other classes again last night, I ended back on the Spy 10 mins later. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than playing with the mindset of a spy. Pissing people off! ;)

Thanks, he says them, but generally in the form of taunts, something you'd have to do manually. He may laugh and whatnot when you dominate someone (kill them 3times in a row) but he doesn't normally openly say things like this. I went into the game's sound archive and pulled his sound files for the video. ;)

hmm. I dunno, but my record points with Sniper is 68 in one life, thanks to a slew of headshots. That's quite a few headshots, I was cleaning house on the last stage of dustbowl as the offensive team. :)

That's why I don't play Sniper. That's especially the case on 2Fort. It's as though Snipers are a pointless class because they only work to cancel out enemy snipers. They can't prioritize on other enemies because then they'll be sniped by an enemy sniper.

Honestly, I have no idea. This footage was taken wayyyy back, nearer when TF2 first came out. Aside from playing Spy, my CSS awp whoring obsession carried over to the Sniper. I played Sniper off and on. I can honestly say that I can't even recall the last time I played Sniper. I'm generally ALWAYS SPY. I just have so much fun playing Spy.

With that said, I have no idea what the latency is or was.

Honest too God, I haven't played Sniper in months. I almost always play Spy-- and that's it. It's funny, generally I'd be the jerk behind the scope, at least in other shooters. TF2 is too.. interesting and "action packed" for me to play Sniper. Especially when there's the option to leap down and stab someone in the back... :P

ESG ------- elite spy group. I NEVER play sniper now. I use to play Sniper on occasion if I wasn't playing Spy. If I'm not playing Spy I generally pick other classes.

The point of it is I have habbits that go back to Counter Strike. The ONLY reason I press Q is because I'm a former AWP whore from CSS. LoL, I'm just use to it. In CSS, one of the benefits is that switching to the knife lets you move faster... which isn't the case in TF2. :P

i know that in counter strike you can press Q to switch to knife so you can run away after you shoot, when i snipe in TF2 i press Q after i fire but then after a while i wondered "wtf why am i doing this"

Small tip for your sniping. Crouch Strafing is something we don't often at all, and it's helped me hold out against some very skilled snipers, considering i'm something of an alllrounder rather than a purist like them. By Crouch Strafe, it means ducking and weaving in while only strafing in the upright position. So your movement becomes like this:

lol. CSS. I was a big time Sniper in CSS, namely an Awper. In that game switching to knife was important because it increased your speed. Obviously that makes no difference in TF2, it's just an old habit I suppose. Doesn't hurt though.

yes. First however, in order to access Valve's game files, one must download GCFScape. Search for it on google or something, it's free. Then go to...

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps

All of the files are bundled in random folders in there. They are separated by game...
