I have seen two Williams concerts in Australia and I am amazed by the power of his music to both elate (The throne room) and devastate (Schindler's list). I am typing this while listening and can barely hold back the emotion. I would love to hear thoughts on why this music has such an effect, are we really all just kids playing with our snowspeeders in the backyard? Or is it something deeper? In a world full of Mozart and Vivaldi this is what packs Arenas - Amazing!!!

@hanscombe72 Maybe it's because these are the things we care the most: bravery, dreams, heroism, friendship, honor, loyalty, love may say someone, it's a modern mythology and the music represents that very essence. Personally, thats why the goosebumps and why, even when i'm no longer a kid, I feel amazed looking at an imaginary Cloud City or the asteroid field chase.

Williams just captured that feeling. masterfully.
