MLM products are sold by recruiting a revolving door of new "reps" who buy products to "do the business." And since people perceive the opportunity as dwindling with each new "rep," market saturation requires promoters to recruit elsewhere. So MLM's quickly evolve into Ponzi schemes, requiring the opening of new foreign markets and/or new product div's to repay earlier investors. It's not turnover, but recruiting to replace dropouts.
MLM's nearly always lead to certain loss for new recruits. The founders and a few are at the top of their pyramids of participants are enriched at the expense of a multitude of downline participants, approximately 99% of whom lose money. The sale of products is distributor-driven, not market driven. Most products are sold to new participants to get in on this "ground floor opportunity." Very few products are sold outside the "business". One more reason MLM is a Pyramid Scheme.
Research, w/ worldwide feedback, says that the more a person invests in an MLM the more they lose -- which is true of any scam. Committed MLM participants may invest thousands, and even tens of thousands of dollars, over years before running out of cash or giving up. In legitimate companies, sales reps are not asked to buy inventory or monthly purchases. But in MLM, incentivized purchases are merely disguised or laundered investments in a product-based pyramid scheme.
Really, I am making money at Arbonne. After 5 months in my business, I have replaced the salary from my old job. So your comment about not making money is not true.
@TheFamilyProctor If you are making money it's because your downline has yet to drop out…. 95% will! But, sounds more like the classic "Fake it, until you make it". As I said before, nobody admits they aren't doing well as that would hinder recruiting efforts and your ability to climb the Pyramid. MLM is in a state of constant collapse where infinite and virgin markets don't exist. Recruitment numbers don't reflect new money, but replacing what already dropped out.
Nobody that sells Arbonne will admit that they are not making any money because that would counter their efforts towards recruiting more? no-money-making suckers so that they might someday make some money doing it. It's brilliant!
I must commend Arbonne for recruiting and brainwashing such a dedicated army of suckers. By the way,? that white Mercedes that your devoting your life towards achieving costs less than $10,000.00 a year to drive. Most MCjobs pay more than that.
MLMs such as Arbonne or product-based pyramid schemes, have been found to be the most harmful and extreme of all the types of pyramid schemes, by any measure - loss rates, aggregate losses, number fo victims, and degree of leverage. MLM loss rates (approximately 99.6%) – are far worse than for no-product schemes, or even than most games of chance in gambling casinos.
anyone who speaks negative if arbonne or mlm in general is just ignorant. or had a bad past with a pyramid. and they think all mlms are pyramids when its simply not true. theres a right way and a wrong way to so business. educate yourself first. then apply yourself. and the business only fails when you fail. it comes down to you and your belief.
Welcome this opportunity with an open mind. I had my doubts as well... until I started my Arbonne business with no prior experience 6 year ago... and have built a 6-figure yearly residual income, without any prior experience! You can do whatever you think you are capable of... and with solid leadership, and a company that has stayed the course for 30+years, the ball is in your court!
IF you can "drip" on (soft/hardsell) everybody in all directions of you.. And devote all of your time and energy to the multiple white plastic containers ... convince your niece and a few girlfriends to sign on...then maybe enough thirty to eighty dollar orders will keep coming in for you to get $300 per month so you can pay your own 125 per month bill... Pure Swiss and Natural .... But really made in California packaged in white green and gold plastic.... One in a hundred probaby make a go
I part time w/Arbonne and love it (and the xtra $). You really only have to recruit if you want it to be your full time job. I saw it as though it were a franchise, but with much lower costs and responsibility. I spent less than $600 to start up. I dont go to work when I don't want to. I sell a great product to the people who want it, just like a boutique with no building but better customer service. And if others want to sell it too, I hook them up. Pyramids = MLM w/no product or service.

Most People have a hard time with recruiting. Check my site to find out what the top earners are doing, but not telling you. I will give you a systematic approach on how do get more leads.
@MLMleadsknowhow See, that's the problem with MLM's. It's not about selling product and providing service, it's about RECRUITING. I've talked to several Arbonne reps who have been told they MUST recruit. It's not optional. Pyramids like this need a constant flow of new recruits as the failures drop out, so they can keep the money rolling in.
@topsocmed You're right about pyramids needing a constant flow of recruits. This is because they pay based on their "consultants" talking to people about the business or getting new recruits to sign up. The difference with Arbonne (or other network marketing/MLM companies), is that they won't pay anyone until product actually moves. No money is made by simply talking to someone or getting them to sign up. What a smart way to do business!
IF you are interested in purchasing arbonne, with great deals, log into arbonne.ca for canada or arbonne.com with using the pin115276349 Also send me an email and i will help you step by step to get great deals.
More power to you. MLM is the wave of the future. Bill Gates says so, Warren Buffett says so, Robert Kyosaki says so as well as Donald Trump. Obviously, not everyone that opens a business makes millions and it's no different in MLM. It's also true that 95% fail. But so do 56% of people who open traditional businesses.
Glad some people are making good money and that the opportunity is working for them. It sure beats being exploited and underpaid at a regular job. Sounds like this company has some classy people. Keep up the good work and live it up. The only problem I see with this product is that it's only a must have for a certain group of people. I am in MLM where both products are not economy dependent.
I've only been doing Arbonne for 2 months. I've already quit my regular job and replaced that income! Arbonne is sending me and my family to the Bahamas in August. This is not a scam. But if you're looking for a "get rich quick" thing - there is no such thing. You do need to work. But, it truly is the best gig in town. The support you receive is amazing and the people in the company are some of the most amazing people I've ever meet. Best decision I've ever made, for me and my family.
@adabarziv It is legally allowed to post your checks online. You just need to redact the account numbers.
Arbonne is a real business, and generates real income for the people at the very top. Buying into an MLM will never be as rewarding as a business of your own creation, because you're still under someone else's control. Since the primary biz of Arbonne is recruiting, it's turns off a lot of us who would rather not be hounded by MLMers.
@adabarziv You are so right..people that fail are the ones that always bad mouth the company instead of taking a mirror and looking at the person that was the cause of their failure...Arbonne is the most amazing company i have ever had the fortune to bee a part of..this was a gift to me and i am living the life i choose xx
It is the easiest way to BLAME the company, the industry etc. instead of taking responsibility for your excuses.
bad mouthing is a bad Karma for YOU, what goes around comes around.
when you Work the business for real - This business WORKS big time for YOU!
I am a walking testimony, started a business with $600 (!) investment 11 years ago. if it was legally allowed - I would display my checks in a NY minute on line.
@adabarziv I prefer to use the analogy "$hit Floats"! For every person like you that did well, how many people in MLM are sitting with a garage full of crap they frontloaded to move up the ranks? I am not blaming anyone as I never got sucked into pushing a product based Pyramid Scheme on my friends and family, whilst exploiting them for money. According to Dr. Jon Taylor using Arbonne's numbers, 1 in 175 profits and 99.43% lost money lost money. Arbonne is a Faux Franchise!
@MLMpyramidScam If one has a garage full of crap to front load, that is their own fault. How can you keep your ranking without clientele? To do that makes no sense at all. I fail to understand why anyone would start a business without expecting to have to work or expecting everyone to be 100% successful. That is never true for ANY business. Arbonne offers product. Buy it or dont. Start your own business selling or dont. Its a boutique without a roof.
@MLMpyramidScam Couldn't this also be said of Avon, I've been selling for about 6 months and found quickly that all they want is more recruits they don't care if I sell or not.I order for myself and family and get a small discount but have made nothing!
@TheSOUTHFLORIDALIVE 99.96% of consultants don't make money. "Fake it, until you make it". I love to hear people rave about the money they make, but don't ever mention the costs associated with recruiting to replace the 95% dropouts and the time spent badgering everyone within 3 feet to join a legal pyramid scam/ faux business that is in a constant state of collapse. There are better odds of making money gambling at a casino than MLM- without the work and the social cost.
People fail because the system itself dooms nearly all participants to failure. Arbonne is built on an endless chain of recruitment of participants as primary customers. It assumes both infinite markets and virgin markets, neither of which exist. It is therefore inherently flawed, fraudulent, and profitable only for founders and those at or near the top of their respective pyramids of participants. Even with their best efforts, the vast majority will always lose money.
Not true. Get with the times. This is a viable, growing, proven, way of doing business. And by the way according to the best of economists, this industry which is already world wide will be the #1 industry in years to come. Find a good company (yes there are many)and learn the skills to succeed.
Why don't you tell us about the expenses involved in recruiting to replace the 90% attrition of the Pyramid, sorry I mean downline every year. Tells us how most distributors lose money. Tell us how consultants have to front load products to maintain commission levels and reach quota's. Tell us how Arbonne products are over priced (even with discount) and can be purchased at market value on EBay for much, much less. You are forced to buy stuff you don't need, and be taxed on pre discount amount.
@sbohandley - ahem! I tend to agree with you - those that have have those that dont are losing - like me - I signed up thinking I would set the world on fire - my upline promised the world and Im sitting here dying - not one person is interested in signing up under me, nor interested in buying the stuff - unless you started 30 yrs ago maybe you are independently weathy today, only money makes money - as a single mom with a disbaled child I thought for sure it would be a success- Im thinking WTF
@joanlouise53 I am sorry to hear this. MLM's are famous for using a bad economy to exploit the less fortunate to sell their business opportunity. But, if the economy is bad, who is buying the products. MLM proponents say that success is limited to only hard work, but market saturation, the economy and pricing also play. Not to mention where you are on the pyramid. You should read the work of Dr. Jon Taylor at MLM truth and his links. There you really learn how MLM is a borderline scam!
@sbohandley I have been selling Arbonne for 5 years, and have never once had to frontload products, and have maintained a successful business. It's all about what you put in. Yes, if you expect to make $ just by signing up, then you're wrong. It's takes WORK. None of the women in this video would tell you otherwise. Funny, I have no problem selling products at full price either. Those prices on Ebay are from shady consultants who are working Arbonne's host rewards system for their own gain.
@motiv8edbyfaith You have no problem selling products at full price, because not everyone is internet savy and knows that you can get them on Ebay or Amazon for much less. When Consultants sell on Ebay, it shows a break down in the Arbonne system. Everyone blames "shady" consultants on this, but it is the law of supply and demand. This is the "invisible hand" that is equalizing the overpriced products. If a product is properly priced in the "retail market", it will get a fair price on Ebay.
@sbohandley If you think that the markup on Arbonne is ANY different percentage-wise than any other retail product out there, you are misled. It's like being furious at Maybelline for selling you a product that is worth $0.50 for $7.00. No one is, because it's CHEAP. But the markup is still there. Then the profits help pay their "little" people minimum wage (or worse if overseas), while the big wigs at the top make bank. But, hey! It's not MLM! It's traditional business, so it's okay! Right?
@motiv8edbyfaith Big Lots sells 28 oz of eucalyptus bath salts for $3. Arb. sells theirs for $22 for 16 oz and you have to pay the company to get a discount. How is this value? If people want to pay high prices for Arb product, that's their choice. A fool & their money part. But, when MLM's badger & exploit friends, family and anyone within 3 ft to join a recruitment based PYRAMID scheme (where the product is a front) to move product than this is different. MLM isn't direct selling!
THIS WEBSITE IS CRAZZYY AND SO TRUE I SWEARR ABOUT MAKING MONEY !!! WOW NEVER FOUND ANYTHING BETTER BESIDES GETREADYRESERVE..

I have a chemist, a lawyer and a bank vice president who are in my circle, who have lost their jobs. Just a reminder that there is a company who will pay you for hard work without fear of losing anything, except maybe your debt. BELIEVE
Arbonne is an opportunity for women to empower other women succeed! It's so much more then a business...It's a life changing experience. If you join Arbonne, your life will never be the same :)
To pt55results - if you call restructuring with a bankruptcy going public then you are right. Just search online for public record in Orange County California, all the paperwork was filed. We all received a complete copy of the financials as well by mail. Looks so cozy all those Tiffany gifts doesn't it? Tiffany was included in the bankruptcy too for well over $300,000 that Arbonne owed. Arbonne still has to report their financials to the court, they are not out of trouble yet.
Arbonne has great products but they just completed a bankruptcy. How can you ask someone to be your business partner when the company has gone through such turmoil? Many VP's have left, their income has imploded. People have declared bankruptcy losing their homes and cars. Great products to use- wrong opportunity.
@frannyb1000 Sorry to say you have your facts wrong. Arbonne chose to go public and came through stronger than ever. All the details are available for those who want the facts.
@mach7479 I mean seriously - it's not religion, it's business. Happens to be a great business where people really enjoy the work they do - how many companies can say that? I find some of the ignorance in this world staggering, really.
@leahlwagner Just saying that the high dropout and low success rate is probably factored into their push for a constant stream of free salespeople. Scientology is similar, because they all circle around the 'founder' and evangelistically recruit new members, asking them to "believe" to stay afloat. It takes advantage of those without the critical thinking skills to distinguish 'anecdotal success' from 'average income'.
@narellidroc hey! Do you mean how do you get started? I would love to talk to you more about it. This business has honestly changed my life. I now have financial freedom. My husband and I were so skeptical about this business, but it has been amazing!!! The best thing is that anyone can do it!!
Thank you Arbonne for giving us this amazing video! I am so proud of my Arbonne business & grateful for everything it has given me! I too, still get goosebumps seeing this video. We have the most awesome company, leaders & products! Come on, jump in & join us on the journey to the top! Which is so reachable! It definitely is your time to shine!!
This opportunity is for everyone and anyone wanting to make a difference for themselves and others! I'm so grateful to be a part of this company. Top notch products, top notch company and top notch people!
What a horrible thing to say... Arbonne has truly changed many people lives and if you don't treat it like a business it won't work... Obviously you didn't....
I really like this video. I wish the black and white portion in the beginning could be shorter. I wish the beginning section was not done entirely in past tense. It is a subtle thing but people will subconsciously pick up on that. We don't want it to seem like a "thing of the past" since Arbonne is clearly headed into the future! I love this company!

You are forced to buy stuff you don't need, and be taxed on pre discount amount.
sbohandley 1 year ago 3
@sbohandley - ahem! I tend to agree with you - those that have have those that dont are losing - like me - I signed up thinking I would set the world on fire - my upline promised the world and Im sitting here dying - not one person is interested in signing up under me, nor interested in buying the stuff - unless you started 30 yrs ago maybe you are independently weathy today, only money makes money - as a single mom with a disbaled child I thought for sure it would be a success- Im thinking WTF
joanlouise53 1 year ago 3
@joanlouise53 I am sorry to hear this. MLM's are famous for using a bad economy to exploit the less fortunate to sell their business opportunity. But, if the economy is bad, who is buying the products. MLM proponents say that success is limited to only hard work, but market saturation, the economy and pricing also play. Not to mention where you are on the pyramid. You should read the work of Dr. Jon Taylor at MLM truth and his links. There you really learn how MLM is a borderline scam!
sbohandley 1 year ago
@sbohandley I have been selling Arbonne for 5 years, and have never once had to frontload products, and have maintained a successful business. It's all about what you put in. Yes, if you expect to make $ just by signing up, then you're wrong. It's takes WORK. None of the women in this video would tell you otherwise. Funny, I have no problem selling products at full price either. Those prices on Ebay are from shady consultants who are working Arbonne's host rewards system for their own gain.
motiv8edbyfaith 1 year ago 2
@motiv8edbyfaith You have no problem selling products at full price, because not everyone is internet savy and knows that you can get them on Ebay or Amazon for much less. When Consultants sell on Ebay, it shows a break down in the Arbonne system. Everyone blames "shady" consultants on this, but it is the law of supply and demand. This is the "invisible hand" that is equalizing the overpriced products. If a product is properly priced in the "retail market", it will get a fair price on Ebay.
sbohandley 1 year ago 2
@sbohandley If you think that the markup on Arbonne is ANY different percentage-wise than any other retail product out there, you are misled. It's like being furious at Maybelline for selling you a product that is worth $0.50 for $7.00. No one is, because it's CHEAP. But the markup is still there. Then the profits help pay their "little" people minimum wage (or worse if overseas), while the big wigs at the top make bank. But, hey! It's not MLM! It's traditional business, so it's okay! Right?
motiv8edbyfaith 1 year ago
@motiv8edbyfaith Big Lots sells 28 oz of eucalyptus bath salts for $3. Arb. sells theirs for $22 for 16 oz and you have to pay the company to get a discount. How is this value? If people want to pay high prices for Arb product, that's their choice. A fool & their money part. But, when MLM's badger & exploit friends, family and anyone within 3 ft to join a recruitment based PYRAMID scheme (where the product is a front) to move product than this is different. MLM isn't direct selling!

I have a chemist, a lawyer and a bank vice president who are in my circle, who have lost their jobs. Just a reminder that there is a company who will pay you for hard work without fear of losing anything, except maybe your debt. BELIEVE

Arbonne still has to report their financials to the court, they are not out of trouble yet.
frannyb1000 1 year ago
Arbonne has great products but they just completed a bankruptcy. How can you ask someone to be your business partner when the company has gone through such turmoil? Many VP's have left, their income has imploded. People have declared bankruptcy losing their homes and cars. Great products to use- wrong opportunity.
frannyb1000 1 year ago
@frannyb1000 Sorry to say you have your facts wrong. Arbonne chose to go public and came through stronger than ever. All the details are available for those who want the facts.

mach7479 1 year ago
@mach7479 I mean seriously - it's not religion, it's business. Happens to be a great business where people really enjoy the work they do - how many companies can say that? I find some of the ignorance in this world staggering, really.
leahlwagner 1 year ago
@leahlwagner Just saying that the high dropout and low success rate is probably factored into their push for a constant stream of free salespeople. Scientology is similar, because they all circle around the 'founder' and evangelistically recruit new members, asking them to "believe" to stay afloat. It takes advantage of those without the critical thinking skills to distinguish 'anecdotal success' from 'average income'.
