I didn't know that whoppii goldberg was on the view. I've only seen a couple of clips on the view, the other being on asexuality which was rubbish too, there is a program in britain called lose woman which is quite simular.
One a positive note, I'm pleased that some notable Tarot readers such as Corrine Kenner, "Tarot for Writers" author has been involved in promoting the French Tarot game. People who read the cards and those who play games with them need not be enemies.
While I don't seek to discourage divination via Tarot, I do think that the existing divination only business model of Tarot publishing should perhaps be revised to become more gamer friendly. From my experiences researching Tarot games, I have found some unfortunate examples which indicate that the common occult perception of these cards is not always healthful to our culture. I also think it's wonderful you are mirroring these videos.
"if the psycic tarot industry would get out of the way" get out of the way? it just seems hostile to me.
maybe it's just the way it's say or the way I interpate it or both but it just dosen't feel frendly to me.
"it's time for game plyers worldwide to relcaim the tarot" - That just sounds militant! lol.
I also saw a comment by a user called tarot for games and he commented somthing along the lines of "tarot was actually ment for games" not origanly but actually.
I think a deck desinged for both gamplay and divination could work, because technicly speaking you could devine to anything so it doe'snt need to be overly traditional
"I have found some unfortunate examples which indicate that the common occult perception of these cards is not always healthful to our culture." - i'd be intrested to see what you mean by that there is so many diferent decks it's hard to be specific, but some are quite beautyfuk sand i think stands out as art in it's own right
It's simple, the Tarot card games are often misunderstood and seen in a false context. I know for a fact that authors on works concerning Tarot card games do get their efforts wrongly categorized as "occult" Dummett's "Game of Tarot" is one notable example. A Tarock deck was initially misinterpreted as "occult" by a university article until it was corrected. It's fine if people use the cards for divination, but it needs to be more widely understood that there is more than that one context.
Speaking for myself, my interest in the Tarot games is not a means to demolish the divinatory art of Tarot reading but because I find the game playing itself to be rewarding. I do confess to a visceral attraction to the occult, but my intellect favors the card games and I think our cultures would benefit if knowledge of Tarot game playing would become a global phenomenon.

It concerns how tarot cards were presented on the US program The View.

As i've tryed to state before "occult" is a lazy term anyway.
So it's just a case of education but in which case, tarot certinly isn't alone in terms of suffering of ignorance.
