@emmy6423 the pump isnt a great deal of work, requires pulling the intake and the lines can be bastards but aside from that deffinitly sonething you can do yourself. you will have to have someont with the right equipment set the timing when youre done.

@emmy6423 I don't know if you still have the truck, but your problem is most likely a bad injector pump. I work on a fleet that has a number of these trucks ranging from '90 all the way to when the duramax replaced the 6.5-good motor overall, but the pump is a pretty common problem. You could replace the driver but it's almost the same amount of work.

You need one, $300 on ebay with an aluminum heat sink to mount behind the bumper, with a 6f oot extension wire harness. Some mount on the tranny tunnel.
