  • at 9:50 her eyes look extremlyyyy blue O_O

  • This morning I was telling to my family about an experience that happen in 1985 in Mexico city when I saw the same lights patches in a house, I mention them about this series and a million thanks for posting, now my family know what I was talking about. When I saw this series I was a child and I did not realize how dangerous it cuould be when I saw the lights patches that seem like they were alive.

  • Goodness me - 0:48 they've got the clock from my dining room on the wall!

  • I never got to understand bout the duo until youtube came into existence & i found this vdo. That is ... after 30 over yrs later. If i never found this vdo, i'd be without some answers for my memory. Before i found this, i scrummaged through other sites to learn a lil more that Sapphire & Steel were like Fox & Mulder. However, now i finally learnt the truth. THEY'RE ALIENS!!! Loved the chills it gave when i watched it during my childhood days although never really understood why.

  • @minionarcane Lol ! Correction: I meant Fox Mulder & Dana Scully of X-Files.

  • We have all of the episodes on DVD and they get played to death We love this.

  • a millions thanks for posting again this series,i was 8 that time, when this was show here in the phillipines,it bring back lot's of memory from the old memory lane.i do hope you got all episode.thanks ^_^!!

  • this was my most favorite show besides doctor who and blakes 7 i just wish more episodes had been made before it got cancelled. they need to remake this as soon as possible and make paper back novels based on the series too the audio adventures are jus not enough for me i love this series so much!

  • Its amazing, i honestly thing the titles could have been better but its a great series :)

  • Yes, it scares the hell out of me too. Imagine it's only shot in video format and yet every angle and the simplicity of the story scares the shit outta me. Even those millions of dollars horror film today can't beat this.

  • this series always scared me shitless as a kid

  • This is bringing back a few good memories, thanks for posting!

  • One of the Classics,Enjoying after 30 years,Thanks to all of you who put it here.

  • One of all time classics.Watching after 30 years and still chilly. Thanks to all who put it here.

  • Watched this series when I was 12 way back in 1980 here in Asia! Good to see it again!

  • David McCallum and Joanna Lumley, How could I not love this show!

Well if the first 5 minutes tell you anything, it's that having a billion clocks in the house is a bad idea.

  • Love this show! Thank you so much for posting it dalek64!! This show was never on tv in Germany.

  • What a wonderful series! I just remember a little bit when I was a child. Is there any place where I can find it in spanish!

  • David McCallum & Joanna Lumley, how could I not love this?

  • i've got the full series of this with these two awasome people!!

  • Were the different stories ever shown in the correct order on TV. I remember seeing Assigment 2 first and the last two assignments were shown in reverse order, which avoided the show closing on a downer ending. Seem to remember ITV doing something similar with UFO and Space 1999.

  • love this show, it's way out there, one of the scariest one's from my childhood, would like to see a remake but for some reason I don't think they could pull off the tension and suspense in today's manic T.V world and ruin it with effects, less is more and sometimes the scariest thing of all is not knowing what the hell is going on...

  • this scared the shit out of me- in a good way!

  • era una serie strepitosa....avevo 14 anni....

  • @MrCezio ma la trasmettevano anche in italia?

  • ...and this was on at about 5.10 in the evening.

  • Every story is classic story.

  • creepy

  • EEk! Scary until today! And I'm a ADULT! :-P. Thanks for placing it! (I feel like a scary lil kid,,,again! Not that I like that...)

  • I was scared to death when I saw this on television as a young child! Though I forgot most of it I've always remembered they were chanting 'a tissue, a tissue' and starting from there I Googled my way back to it :-) I understand perfectly well why I found this so scary...

  • theres is a full dvd boxset. this is the best one cos of the storyline. if the 2nd assignment had a better storyline tht wud b the best one

  • This is my first time seeing this show. It's quite interesting. I have to check more segments out eventually.

  • I used to love saphire and steel they repeated the series in the early 90's and this one scared the crap out of me, it was the nursery ryhme!!!

  • I wasn't even born when they showed these up for the first time. Luckily they showed them again here somewhere in mid 90's and I loved them. Brings some memories...

  • I remember a episode when silver and lead turned up

  • It would be nice if that post was legible...

  • I was very young when it was broadcasted the first time, but it still gives me the creeps, thank you for posting this marvelous pieces!

Saludos

  • Muy triste!

  • ty ty ty ty ty and a thousand ty i love this and forgot how much plse if u have any surivours ones id love u even more xx

  • great

  • I´m very happy to see one of the series that i ever want to remember, i was so child when i new ZAFIRO Y ACERO como se titulo en Colombia, at last , i can remember, Thank you very much dalek64, estoy muy emocionado.

  • Keep expecting Pink Floyd to kick in after all the ticking!!

  • Actually Pink Floyd would be quite suitable with the clocks and adding some bells

  • Thanks dalek64 for posting!!

Genuinely weird show..freaked me out a kid!!

  • Been looking for these for a long time

    Thank You!

  • been searching for this!!!!

    thanks!!!!!

  • Oh fuck, this is too much...!!!! I saw only 2 episdes like 30 years ago, once each and i never knew how ep.1 ended... I will never thank you enough !!!!!!!!!!

  • jajajajaj, it ´s the same for me.

  • brilliant series - brilliant understated, brilliant scripting and acting, brilliant concept.

  • Thanks for posting these episodes. The first and second where my favorites, they scared me a little bit. I watched them again thanks to you and really feel these hold up because, to great lead actors, love the story lines and the build up of the suspense. But thanks for posting all of them.

  • Mick Flintlock, phew I remeber him. Didn't he do a show with Pauline Qirke. Anyone have the final episode?

  • Ahhh what a classic! no big special effects budget needed... just a great story line and FAB acting. Very Nice!

  • Did I mention that this is brilliant? Coz it's bloody brilliant! It really is superb.

    Ade.

  • la migliore serie di tutti i tempi... al pari con buffy... forse no... forse buffy è migliore... solo di poco però... good bye...

  • Absolutely brilliant! What distinguished Sapphire & Steel was the reliance on good writing, direction and drama rather than flimsy 'futuristic' sets. It actually looks like they're using the old Upstairs, Downstairs set! LOL. And I don't mean that badly. It was all much more psychological and imaginative.

  • GREAT! This series was something great back in early 80's. Much better than Star Trek

  • OMG I've been looking all my life for these clips again. Thanks!!!

  • i love this show, it scared me then, it scares me now !!! im glad i found it but im not going to watch it

  • Best show ever. Well, top five at the very least! :)

  • Ah, fondly-remembered nightmares. Thanks.

  • Classic Cheers

  • thanks so much.

  • Thankyou thankyou thankyou for posting these. It's such a great show. I'm amazed by how completely seriously it takes itself - which is a very good thing. It means the suspense never lets up...

  • Brilliant opening ep. :) Loved it!

  • wow, I love this show. it was very creepy, mystifying, claustrophobic, and David and Joanna were great, as was David Collings as silver. Really wish they'd bring it back, it would be great, I know "Big Finish" are doing audio plays and as good as they are, this is a very visual show and needs to be back on the telly. And there must be a way of releasing them from the Trap? surely silver would help? anyone got any ideas?

  • i have all the episodes on dvd and my favourite is this very first assignment,i was really dissapointed how they ended the final assignment, leaving them trapped.I"d love to see Joanna Lumley and David Mcullam reprise their roles.

  • I was eight years old and I watched it. Every five minutes, my dad said "This is too frightening for you, isn't it", but I insisted on watching it!

  • The scene was always spooky and evily eerie. Love it!

  • tales of the well fucking unexpected!

  • Wow I saw this program in Mexico when I was a child, I always had nightmares whit the show!! Natsukashii!!

  • Oh fantastic, I didn't think I'd get to see these again! I'm rather a young viewer in comparison to most, I wasn't even born when it was on, but I saw it on video last summer and loved it - so glad I can watch it all again :o)

  • I used to love this show when I was a kid. I'm watching it now for the first time in 27 years!

It's held up well. I think I'm gonna get the DVD. Thanks for putting this up!

  • Thank you!!

  • Fantastic! Reliving my childhood, hope I don't wet the bed this time!

  • Something's not right with Time and Sapphire and Steel arrive...the plot starts slow but gradually becomes more engaging.
