In response to walhaddi and mirsad510 questions.

This detachble unit can not be used as independent GPS as it does not contain GPS chip, only mapping software. You can only plan route, browse maps manually(like paper map).

It does not support playback for Music or video from SD card. SD card is meant for updating the POIs, firmware etc.

Thought it is a pain to adjust , there is a basic 3 band parametric equalize.,

Bought this unit. Too many problems, check avic411 forums. Hangs, freezes. POIs does not have restaurants, or gas stations!!? Bluetooth freezes, Nav want you to drive on walking trails!!! not on roads. So many issues. Avoid this unit like plague.

you must have gotten a bad unit or the instal was not done right. Other than the poi and I do think that was stupid but you can pay the extra 100 bucks for, it's a great unit.

Tell me, when you take the navi out and try to use it in a different vehicle, how do you keep it charged? Can you plus it to a cigarette lighter like other portable navis?

did you buy the ipod connection cable from pioneer or did u just use your ipod usb cable

you can use either one they both work the same but since the usb in the back you should buy a aftermarket plug instead
