i noticed pacific dawn is quiet unstable. I got off her about 2 days ago and even in about 2-3 metre waves you could still feel the bow going up and down. The stabalizers worked great but that was only the roll. The pitch is terrible i would have to say.
@WarmUwithMyFeet actually both the Dawn and the Jewel (both the exact same hull) suffer from an issue where what ever seas they are in, even if it is in perfectly flat seas it will pitch slightly (you can see this if you go to the back of the ship, on deck and look forward and watch the front of the ship and the horizon.) But I actually didn't find it that bad. I had 9m seas and was hardly feeling anything.
absoultely we did. you might know us. My wife was the hula hoop champ. I was the radio controlled car champ. We were kiwis, so pretty obvious to spot. :) Newlyweds too. Caribe deck
Yes, one of the best views to the world of cruising. How great would it be to be a Northern Sydneysider and to be able to take the Manly ferry to work everyday.

Thankfully by the time we sailed at 7pm that evening it had calmed down!

We got on the ship the day it came in, and were wondering why it was 2 hours late docking in sydney! now we know! Fantastic ship though!!

We were on the cruise leaving on the 7th too - hope you had as wonderful a time as we did!

Great effort, the sail-in to the harbour at the end was also worth watching on its own. That frame @21 secs with the wave over the bow is a doozy!

Wow! thanks for the footage...nice to know I survived that :) I think the worst was what we didn't see, in the middle of the night :)
