I hope the armor is graphically similar to Reach's. The attention to detail e.g. the scratches was really satisfying. The customization was huge, too. It looked real.

@Katarn343 A long time ago, before Halo 3 was released, I suggested on the Bungie Forums that the game would have an actual WAR level, or something much larger than ever seen in Halo. I said that this is what true Halo fans would want - I was shot down by 90% of the community, and Bungie it seemed agreed. I was so upset, because the books describe a huge war, the games don't. But one suggestion I made did make it through in Halo 3, I suggested there be a HUD as it would be more personalized.
Me and my friends worked really hard on this machinima short and it would mean the world if you guys would check it out. Its a parody about if microsoft put its customer support service in game to halo reach. I already prepared to be disappointed. What's the point showing all these concept art when they are not even final ? and I doubt 50% of them will make it in....even if they make it, you won't see blades of grass, you won't see reasonably rendered leaves....all you see is ugly flat greenish moss and cardboard cut out leaves.

I think I have some form of theory as to what will happen in Halo 4. Chief's ship gets pulled in, he lands somewhere inside the planet. UNSC finally gets his distress call. Send ships to his rescue. ships getting deployed into the planet, planet itself destroys fleet.
also if you look at the new enemies leg armor at the end very closely,it looks like the covenant elites leg armor, but then again all of the covenants tech is forunner

I've been playing Halo since i was 5 at my uncles house. (that was Halo 2 i believe.) My first official Halo game i got/beat was ODST, and i loved it. I then beat 3 and Reach. I became a hardcore fan when I really dug into firefight in ODST. I'm trying to beat Halo CE and 2 to learn more of Chief's story so i get the full Halo experience in Halo 4 :)
Yeah...Looking at this trailer, I think that Halo 4 is gonna be a much darker and mysterious Halo game. Did you hear that twinkle when it said Halo 4 on the trailer? That is VERy mysterious and this new planet (Sigma 6 or something) will have a hell of a lot of exploration to understand it.

Wouldnt it be cool if 343i added assasinations with gore (decapitations, holes in the body, torn in half, disembodyment, etc) and environment assasinations! I personally think this would be AMAZING! it wouldd make the assainations more interesting and they sould add weapon assasinatinos like blowing their head off with the shotgun and the pistol would be regular or knife assasinations

After reach came out I didn't play it has much I really hope they make big changes, because this will the sixth halo game released in the same console generation. Now that there is greater focus on the story, within the games, people will respect Halo more, from a narrative standpoint. Too many people are ignorant to the franchise's deep lore, and I'm very happy 343 are going to give us a far richer single player experience.
@stuartab1 It may also be that we are fighting other humans... If you went onto the halo wiki you'd find out that humans used to rival the forerunner technoledgy until the forerunners took their tech away. These humans might of escaped!
@stuartab1 if you look at the terminals in halo anniversary or read the new books there are way too many foreshadowings... for sure we are fighting against the flood (they have always been the main enemy of the series), maybe the forerunner technology (the clone of 343 Guilty Spark, Sentiels & other machines), I dont think we are fighting against other humans (that just would not make sense) maybe against the percusor's technology...just wait & UNSC will eventually find Master Chief.

@OscarGT25 The story of Gow3 got really crazy, and Karen Traviss was the main story writer. She's the main story writer for halo, now too.
Plus, Bungie did a perfect job of keeping the main story of halo simple and epic at the same time. Reach had an epic campaign mode. ODST was both outside the box, and fun enough.
Yeah, so far they're doing good. But they haven't really done anything thats a real big deal. Halo CEA was just a redo anyway.
@ClusiveC the GOW3 story was really good, it didn't get really crazy, just unexpected. Let's recall the story of Halo 2, it had a lot of twists & new elements; and still it had a good story.
And I agree on that, at least Bungie gave us something different after the trilogy, so lets give 343i a chance. They wanna make a Halo mysterious/exploring type of game (kinda like Metroid Prime) so I have high hopes for this game.

Spending like several chapters trying to catch a blimp. I haven't played it since i beat it. I said it was gonna get weird because you've got Spartan IV's, who are volunteers... The precursors are supposed to be in it, somehow. etc.
Idk. It's just, 1 2 and 3 weren't like that, but yah we'll see.
It seems like Halo meets Mass Effect meets Metroid Prime. And I love it.

*Customizable Weapons, so we can have DMR and BR in the same game

I think I have some form of theory as to what will happen in Halo 4. Chief's ship gets pulled in, he lands somewhere inside the planet. UNSC finally gets his distress call. Send ships to his rescue. ships getting deployed into the planet, planet itself destroys fleet.

Also if they dont do forerunner architecture correctly, than it will just look like another, generic, sci fi alien machine rather than the ancient, "withstand the test of time" shape we all know. But it doesnt look like they really give a flying fuck judging by the curvy lines everything has.

I've been playing Halo since i was 5 at my uncles house. (that was Halo 2 i believe.) My first official Halo game i got/beat was ODST, and i loved it. I then beat 3 and Reach. I became a hardcore fan when I really dug into firefight in ODST. I'm trying to beat Halo CE and 2 to learn more of Chief's story so i get the full Halo experience in Halo 4 :)

Yeah...Looking at this trailer, I think that Halo 4 is gonna be a much darker and mysterious Halo game. Did you hear that twinkle when it said Halo 4 on the trailer? That is VERy mysterious and this new planet (Sigma 6 or something) will have a hell of a lot of exploration to understand it.

Wouldnt it be cool if 343i added assasinations with gore (decapitations, holes in the body, torn in half, disembodyment, etc) and environment assasinations! I personally think this would be AMAZING! it wouldd make the assainations more interesting and they sould add weapon assasinatinos like blowing their head off with the shotgun and the pistol would be regular or knife assasinations

Either way, they will start to lose interest like that. Halo wasn't meant to be a long lasting universe like star wars. Plus, it's only for xbox. People aren't hunting for the next halo game like they used to.
The average halo player doesn't know what precursors are. You can go into matchmaking right now and ask some people.

After reach came out I didn't play it has much I really hope they make big changes, because this will the sixth halo game released in the same console generation. And you're right, not that many people are eager to play the next title. 343i have a huge challenge ahead of them, how can they innovate the series anymore?

@ClusiveC Halos not designed to be the world's largest game franchise, it's designed to be the Xbox's flagship title. Without Halo you do not have CoD, without Halo you do now have Xbox or 360 and therefore a third of CoD's market.

@ClusiveC I dissagree , the fact that halo grew into a more infinite universe was so that it could last longer. The game has been compared to LOTR, harry potter, and star wars so there really is know reason to down play the impact halos had. its a flagship title the icon of the xbox just like mario is the icon of nitendo there big worlds. I disaggree again Halos sales say different, so im positive ppl are excited for more halo.Hopefully 343i delivers.

@ClusiveC 343 has already stated that you won't need to read the book to understand the games, and I don't know where you got the idea that Halo was never meant to have a long lasting universe. Quite the opposite, I'd say.
Now that there is greater focus on the story, within the games, people will respect Halo more, from a narrative standpoint. Too many people are ignorant to the franchise's deep lore, and I'm very happy 343 are going to give us a far richer single player experience.

@stuartab1 if you look at the terminals in halo anniversary or read the new books there are way too many foreshadowings... for sure we are fighting against the flood (they have always been the main enemy of the series), maybe the forerunner technology (the clone of 343 Guilty Spark, Sentiels & other machines), I dont think we are fighting against other humans (that just would not make sense) maybe against the percusor's technology...just wait & UNSC will eventually find Master Chief.

@OscarGT25 The story of Gow3 got really crazy, and Karen Traviss was the main story writer. She's the main story writer for halo, now too.
Plus, Bungie did a perfect job of keeping the main story of halo simple and epic at the same time. Reach had an epic campaign mode. ODST was both outside the box, and fun enough.
Yeah, so far they're doing good. But they haven't really done anything thats a real big deal. Halo CEA was just a redo anyway.
I hope it works out, cuz xbox has nothing else.

@ClusiveC the GOW3 story was really good, it didn't get really crazy, just unexpected. Let's recall the story of Halo 2, it had a lot of twists & new elements; and still it had a good story.
And I agree on that, at least Bungie gave us something different after the trilogy, so lets give 343i a chance. They wanna make a Halo mysterious/exploring type of game (kinda like Metroid Prime) so I have high hopes for this game.
We will see what happens later.

@OscarGT25 I dunno. I found it really bland how you spent so much of the campaign doing one thing. Like finding the base that Hoffman was at, and then leaving as soon as you got there.
Spending like several chapters trying to catch a blimp. I haven't played it since i beat it. I said it was gonna get weird because you've got Spartan IV's, who are volunteers... The precursors are supposed to be in it, somehow. etc.
Idk. It's just, 1 2 and 3 weren't like that, but yah we'll see.
