  • Hi There, its great that moms like you are sharing this personal yet valuable information here...I'm a mom to beautiful 3 month old girl. its been 3 months of breastfeeding hell...& right now I am dealin with a painful Milk Blister & a Plugged duct - a series of nodules increasing in size going all the way to my chest wall. Can you please let me know how you dealt with your Milk Blister & Plugged ducts...

  • I came across this video because I'm starting get really curious about how things are going to be when we get to a year and beyond. like how many times a day its going to be and how that all works as he becomes more toddler than baby (ugh chokes me up to type that). I'm still torn on if we want to self wean or if I want to stop after a year. I also want time in between before we TTC again.

  • Where was this video shooted? Really nice envoirnment. Just got to say love your vids! :)

  • During the your time nursing have you gotten thursh?? my son is 3 weeks and I am only nursing him but I fear we are going to get it. This touge is all white is that normal? should I try to clean it? I am a new mom and a little adive, your a great mom I am learning a lot from you viedos.

  • High five! I recently started watching your videos, which I enjoy. Thanks for sharing. It is so awesome that you are comitted to breastfeeding. Have you done a vid about why you breastfeed? I'd love to know.

  • I am pregnant and nursing my 10 month old and I hate it.. I loved nursing prior to being pregnant SO being pregnant and nursing is NO FUN! at least for me.. I think I am going to try and wean her around 13 or 14 months I wanted to do 18 months but she will be 18 months when the baby is born.. But CONGRATS to you and Deacon it is a MILESTONE!

  • can you do a video of all of the bday presents he got??

  • Congratulations Jeni!! One fabulous achievement!!! So pleased you're going to keep going. You really are a great Mummy:-) Is there a reason why you don't want to use soya? I've got another 3 months to go yet but i'll need to research what to give K when she's one. Your advice? She was exclusive breast until 4 months then odd formula bottles then I stopped breast feeding when she was 6 months and she's now formula. By the way..you look amazing!! Love the necklace and eye make up. Sal xx

  • You know what I wonder? How did they do it in the stone age?haha

I think it's amazing you BF for a year! :D

It was so hard for Michael & Myself. From the day he was born

up 2 months after..we tried and tried and nothing worked,he just didn't want to BF & I went through some depression :(

    Anyways

You really deserve a HUGE PLAQUE OR MEDAL xD

Maybe I should make you one haha

  • would you ever try goats milk? we switched because of the health benefits.

  • Congrats mom!!! So proud of you! I hope with my next child I am able to be as strong as you with breastfeeding!

  • Yayy!! Congrats Jeni! You DEF. deserve a break! I'm 2 months away from 1 year and I think I've told u this a million times before but you're the reason why I continued to BF and I thank u so much!!! Almost at a year b/c of you, thank u thank u thank u!!

  • Yay! I'll be at 6 months on the 25th. It is very rewarding :)

  • Congrats on making it to year 1! I am excited that we have made it to a year as well!

  • Congrats making it to a year!! We did too!

  • Congratulations Jeni! That is an amazing accomplishment!!!!!!!!!!!

  • CONGRADULATIONS!!! My daughter will be 10 months next week and I'm SO proud of myself for sticking through it this long!! It was SOOOO hard to bf, the first 3 months hurt me so bad, I literally gave up like 5x the first week or so lol! But only for like 2 minutes, then I talked myself back into just trying it again. I'm proud to say I have yet to give my daughter formula, we have saved so much money it's amazing! I can't wait to make my 1 yr bf vlog.

  • its sooooo amazing what you do for sawyer! Its amazing that Sawyer has never had formula and his own mother is not able to proven milk.. You are amazing and Sawyers mom is amazing for being so strong!!!

  • Congrats! You have done SO awesome. I didn't realize just how challenging bf would be... but I'm SO glad that I chose it..... and have stuck it out. You really should be SO proud of yourself. You have been able to feed NOT ONLY Deacon but also Sawyer.... and now that I know what bf is all about, I think that is AMAZING! GO GIRL!

  • sawyer might make it to 1 year old with only breastmilk b/c of you guys!

  • Congrats we just made it to 9 month mark and I feel the same joy. Small steps and hopefully we can make it too. Sept 4th.....SOOOO SUPER proud of you.

  • Congratulations Mama!! Celebrate it.

  • Congratulations and job well done on one year!!! :D Huge accomplishment and lifelong gift for Deacon :) We have 2.5 months to go and I can't wait to celebrate hehe

  • Congrats on the one year!! It isn't easy! Well done mama. And I totally know what you mean by your son thinking it's a 24 hour buffet, lol. My son is always reaching down or up my shirt in public... (O.o). I'm working on that one too. And it really is the most precious thing!! I love it. I'm hoping to make it to 18 months too (my son is 13 months now). Great video!

  • Congrats on 1 year. I know you struggled to get here, and feeding two babies! Big pat on the back. You definitely deserve a break :D

  • wow! Congratulations! I hope I can breastfeed my baby for that long. I am due in October and am planning to breastfeed her because there are sooo many benefits of breastmilk :)

  • that is awsome, i hope i make it till 1 years old but let me tell you i started out as you, blisters and blood coming out of the nipples (this was the first days after i gave birth) i felt like she was chewing on my flesh lol, i had to grit my teeth it was soo so painful but i didn't want to give up...so i decided to pump to let myself heal since it was too painful to breastfeed her...i started pumping she loved drinking from the bottle...she oly breast fed for 5 mins and would fall alseep or

  • @23kleopatra or be cranky, plus i had to use the nipple shield which was a point...she just loves the bottle, i try to nurse her from my breast but she will not take it for more than 3 minutes and even though i thought pumping would be easier, it is a pain pumping so many times but i am hoping to keep it up till she is 1 year or more...she is currently 4 and half months...so consider youself lucky he is willing to breastfeed and drink from the bottle :)

  • first congratssss. for breastfeeding i do formula and try to breastfeeding is hard. Now is hard for my baby to latch but i still trying. i don't know if you mentioned on other video but did you vaccinated baby? and if so what you think about mmr vaccine they mention is something related with autism so my husband ask ped he said don't believe on that well my baby is only 9 weeks but at 12 month old he will get this vaccine I don't know?

  • Congrats! We just made it to 11 months. :) Feels so great to say my child has only had breastmilk. (solids of course but you know! lol) Empowering to know you've provided your child's main nutrition from your body. I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant and may end up tandem feeding if Gianna doesn't wean. Kinda would like a month or two break before the new baby but we'll see. b

  • How is he going on solids? An does he breastfeed at every meal, or just at certain times of the day? Congrats on one year!!!

  • @DixiePip1 He is not a huge solids eater. We are going to talk to his Dr. about it. Now that he is a year I know that the ratios should be flipping... but we will see... he has days where he eats a ton and others where he only wants to nurse. He nurses at like 6 am, 12:30, 5:30 & 8... then he drink about 12oz of milk in a cup throughout the day.

    Thank you!

  • Huge congratulations on making it to a year!

  • @MsEz81 Thank you!

  • What a HUGE accomplishment Jeni!! That is so awesome you made it to a year and are still going strong. Breastfeeding is so tough. So happy for you!!

  • @JenNTim509 Thank you so much! ya... anyone who says that it is a walk in the park is full of it!

  • thats great you made it a year! my son is 4 months and we struggle everyday. so i totally look up 2 you! good job girl!

  • @zachsgrl04 Congrats to you!!! It is NOT easy by any means! I comend you for sticking with it! I hope it gets easier soon! Best wishes!

  • Congrats Girl!!!!!! I'm sooo happy for you My son will be 10 months in approx 13 days... I'm soo excited that i came this far its unbelievable. My goal is to make it to 1 year...so right now i completely look up to u :) Your amazing. i know how some days breastfeeding is soo hard...i wanted to give up all the time. but its sooo worth it. You did it ..so take a bow

  • @4u2nv29 Congrats to you!!! Thats amazing!!! I wish you an easy finish to your goal line!

    thank you!

  • Whts going to happen with Sawyer when you are no longer able to give him your BM? I know he also gets it from another family, but do they have enough now to keep his supply up?

  • @candsbroadway No... if I stop then he will go to formula. I'm pretty sure that he will make it to a year if he starts eating more solids as it is going to take me a while to be just in sync with Deacon. After Candace comes at the end of July he will have another couple months... but again, it all depends on his solids intake. My own little goal was to get him to 6 months because that in itself is a while

  • Yay!!! What an acomplishment : ) Deacon is quite a healthy little guy. So is Sawyer thanks to you and Lucy. Thank you for feeding our boys. I REALLY REALLY Appreciate all that you do and have done. I feel so blessed.

  • @candacefrandsen Awe... it's my pleasure!!! It's amazing what that stuff can do!

  • Congrats on making it to one year!!!!! That's so exciting... you must be so proud!

  • @checkersssss9 Thank you!

  • congrats, love!

  • @leavecommentsonly Thank you!

  • Congrats!!!!

I breastfeed my first for 22 months and now on my 2 one 5 months and going strong.

  • @mesquites10 YAY TO YOU! 22 months is amazing!!! And 5 now... go you! I have a feeling that we will go about that long just because he is so hooked! Was you first a big fan of solids around 1? Deacon is not... at all... he prefers nursing over anything.

    Thank you!

  • @CandidMommy she was not into solid only nursing also.

  • congraulations!!

  • @w104rwf Thank you!

  • CONGRATS on 1YR!!! You have helped me realize the true benefits on breastfeeding!!! I will be breastfeeding my future babies :D

  • @LYDISANC21 Thank you! Oh, I am so happy to hear that! Yay you!

  • Congrats on one year!!!!

  • @Aliwisha1 Thank you!!!! (you too!)

  • haha.. i like the way you put it, an all you can eat buffet!!!! I feel the same way sometimes!

  • @rachg09890 lol it totally feels like that sometimes!

  • Ugh the blisters!! I have had one blister for months. How did you get yours to heal?? Congrats on a year!!! My daughter is almost 8 months

  • @afwifekari I just left milk on it for a short while after pumping. I had read that it works and it worked for me... (actually read it again today)... so i'd give that a shot...

Yay for you for sticking with it! the blisters are horrid!

  • Congrats!! That's such an achievement. I only made it to 3 months with Kayla... but hope to make it longer with the next :)

  • @allharr Props to you for 3 months! Thats great!! I wish you all of the luck with your next but again 3 months is an accomplishment!

  • Congrats, that is awesome that you got that far, we are on the 6 moths ( she is 5 months a 2 weeks) mark, lets see what happens, next, we ar trying to introduce solids now, she has protein allergy to cows milk, which suck because I can't have any dairy, hopefully we can make it to a year.. :)

  • @evesther I feel ya! I couldn't even have a nibble of mac & cheese without putting Deacon into full on colic mode... it was TERRIBLE!!! but at about 9 months I was able to start eating it again... not I am introducing it to him on his own (like giving him some cheese) and things seem to be going okay. I will do an update video on it. I did some videos in the past I think when he was about 2 months old... best of luck! Its hard but oh so worth it! Yay to you!

  • CONGRATS!! I am really and truley sooo happy for you! I still have this sense of failure and depression about not being able to breastfeed riley. I am however glad that he at least had 2 months of my milk. I home soon I get over it. He is happy & healthy so IDK what my problem is.

  • @mina247 2 months is great!!!!!! Don't put yourself down! It's hard! You should be proud of making it as long as you did! 25% of women don't even try so props to you!

  • Congrats. My first goal is 3 months and I hope to make it to 6 months. I don't plan to breastfeed after 6 months. Good for you for getting this far and continuing ! Thanks for all your support !!! Any tips you can give moms to encourage them to continue ?

  • @Parkerfur lol... we shall see if you stop at 6 months (0; j/k... each day I love it more and more... you may be the same! lol... it's not easy, I am so proud of you!

Great question... I think I will do a video (-:

  • @Parkerfur My daughter only planned to breastfeed to 6 months! BUT---after an initial rough start---she had such success with it that she continued to 11 months--when the baby actually weaned HIMSELF!

  • CONGRATS!!! Im soo happy for you.. When I was pregnant i said i was going to feed till he's 1, now that we are 9months in it I love it and don't know when we will stop...

Its awesome to know that you play such a BIG ROLE in the health and well being of your baby. Its A GREAT FEELING! Noah will rub his face in my chest (LOL) when he's hungry its sooo funny ... Not looking forward to the shirt pulling...:/

BUT CONGRATS!!! TOTALLY understand the slowing down on the pumping.

  • @MBShrewsbury thank you!!! That is so cute! Deacon doesn't rub his face in my chest unless he's searching for the goods and he gets crazy! It's strange... I knew that I always wanted to BF but I never thought that I would develope such a passion for it. I just couldn't imagine it any other way... i love it!

  • Congrats on your breastfeeding success! You should be very proud! I was unable to breastfeed and it still bothers me:( I really wanted to breastfeed but maybe my next one I will be able to. By the way, Im loving my fuzzibunz!! :)

  • @fatsammers Thank you! Don't get yourself down... best wishes on the next baby! If you ever need any support or encouragement please hit me up (-:
