Apple builds Macs themselves. Microsoft has many different manufacturers building their computers, which is what makes tech support for Microsoft difficult. Apple uses only 1st party content so you know that everything you buy for your Mac will fit in nicely. Apple actually DOES have great security. Whenever I visit a suspicious site, Safari will warn me before opening the site. Microsoft Windows is too open for 3rd party content that viruses are much too easy to obtain.
