  • The best moments in my life occurred around this song . I am so glad to still see this music thrive after all these years. Claire

  • The older I become, the more I realize how much "white" music I like. In reality, I was a child in San Francisco in the 70's-right when this came out. Loved it then, love it now.

  • The person who disliked this song has no soul.

  • How can anyone dislike this song?

  • that was awesome

  • Elaine Benes likes this.

  • Fucking LOVE this song

  • this song is not about drugs or a wealthy woman, this song is supposed to be interpreted straight forward and it's supposed to have that dark eerie feeling to it. believe it or not The Eagles were very interested in the occult at this time. I have a live dvd of The Eagles and they say this song was written during their satanic rock, country, blues era

  • No one understands your music but yourself

She's a restless spirit on an endless flight

  • One of my favorite Eagles songs!

  • Awesome!!!

  • ...and she drove silverafists to madness under a silvery moon, woo hoo ME! ;o)

  • @genxxxersize @genxxxersize hahah LMAO... Where did you come up with those lyrics? You are funny.. the actual words are "she drove herself to madness with a silver spoon"

  • @mommadog1 It IS a song about cocaine after all....

  • @AuntieRobyn Are you sure? Might just simply be about a wealthy woman who happens to be a witch. lol

    Lyrics can mean anything.

  • @funkster007 ??? So, the fact that the Eagles were cokeheads at the time as with half the U.S. and everyone had a little spoon... I'm fairly confident that it's about cocaine. I was around back then...

  • @AuntieRobyn I'm not implying you're wrong. Don't get testy lol. Just saying there's several interpretations of the song.

"silver spoon" can be a double entendre. A person being privelegd or perhaps heroin addiction. But what's the band being on drugs have to do with writing lyrics about drugs anyway? Is it a rule?

  • @funkster007 Sure, it could be, but I'm going for Occam's razor, and a song means different things to different people, but as for the band writing it, I would bet the odds on it being a reference to cocaine... you can prefer that she drove herself to madness with being rich... I will prefer that she drove herself to madness doing a bit too much cocaine. I'm sure the Eagles wouldn't care either way.

  • @AuntieRobyn Saw Henley last year and he stated it was a woman he was dating at the time in California. He laughed and said it WASN'T Stevie Nicks though!

  • @mommadog1 hehee, i know! ;o)

  • cool

  • well done!

  • well done!

  • Awesome
