The largest gun I can think of is the German 80cm (roughly 31 inches) Kanone(E) Dora L40-6. It fired a 10,500-lb shell. The round, with case, was over 25 ft long. I'm not BS'ing you guys. This gun was used on the russian front during world war II.

The US does have a national stockpile, I think in an underground cavern. But it is for national security, in the event of war, or serious supply disruption. And President Bush came under quite a bit of fire, PURCHASING oil to fill the stockpile when gas prices were $3-4 a gallon, during the early part of the Iraq war.

So long as you do them consistently. Swimming is a great way to burn calories, and it's a very useful skill. Don't eat more than you need. Most importantly, just keep moving.

Rome8800 doesn't know what he's talking about. Arty when used right is many times more lethal than any tank. The M1A1 Abrams, shoots a 125mm round while artillery can be 105 or 155. The Paladin here shoots 155mm.
