@acambodiandancer The costume she has on is usually used for weddings only. They are not for dancing. She was part of the decor on a float as a singer but the committee asked her to perform a week before the parade. That is why her costume wasn't put together well.

Coming from someone with some experience, here are some mistakes: the inside pleading should wrap around the thigh and butt, it should not be left hanging, thus allowing it to open out and split like in this video. Another mistake is the front part of the skirt (the pleading) is too low. It should be raised a lil higher, so when the dancer sticks out her butt, the length of the skirt will be even all around and wouldn't shift to the side.

i think the person who put the outfit should of learned how to fold it properly. i mean come on you're gonna put someone on stage who's doing an ancient dance without not folded right clothes!? shame on that person. but Monica is really SOFT her hands are bent good and her butt sticks out her toes are up when stepping really good job. where does she go to learn?

I wondered about it too, so I asked my aunt about it. She said if you fold the skirt properly, the splitting would never happen. Here's my question: Did Monica do it on purpose? :P

yeah from my point of view it seems like the front part of the pleating is folded up too much. therefore, it doesn't cover much of the front. maybe the person who dressed her up was in a hurry.
