Gestapo at work again! I'm sorry I wasn't there. Probably some stupid ass cops who have no idea of their job or the law. Fuck those assholes. WE ARE NOT NAZI GERMANY! This is America, I have bleed for this country, cops be damned.
Yea so these people were charged with DIP that's dancing in public and were hung last wends. WHAT THE FUCK PEOPLE!!!!!! wake up and stand up for ur rights!!!!!!
@tiffyj85 This is not about antagonizing the police or about making it unpleasant for tourists. The protest in this video was showing how silly a recent court ruling was. A week after this video was captured more people showed up to TJs and danced and the police did nothing, proving that the ruling and the initial police response is arbitrary and therefore bogus. Sorry, tourists, but expressing freedom can be inconvenient.
and all of the other historical sites to see in the Washington D.C. area, and you may have been making it unpleasant for others who are on vacation to see and tour the historical sites..
Does not count as a 1st Amendment violation if you are antagonizing or aggravating the police, trying to see if they will arrest you or trying to get them to arrest you. At the same time I am not completely on the police's side, because there is nothing put in place stating what you can and cannot do. But I can't consider something like this a violation of your rights when you are not being a good reasonable citizen when you are asked kindly of something. I have been to the Jefferson Memorial
I understand totally and like I said it's a stupid law and needs to be changed. But most of the people in the video were warmed over and over and said they were going to be arrested and they still stubbornly danced right in front of them. There's other ways to show your disagreement like to picket or protest.
IN THE USA, PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF THE PATRIOT ACT, AND THE FALSE BELIEF AMERICANS HAVE THAT IF THEY DON'T BREAK LAWS THEY WILL NEVER BE ARRESTED, DANCING IS ILLEGAL, EVEN SLOW DANCING, IN PUBLIC PLACES.....THANK YOU AMERICAN LAW MAKERS AND GOVERNMENT...
you can dance if you want to! really great how they didn't back down. it's dangerous to ban dancing anywhere, especially ironic at the jefferson memorial. i hear that the dance party's back on next saturday ;) if the threat of prison doesn't scare you, you win.

@wtf4real123 God help the couple who sways back and forth at a memorial. What's considered dancing? That is a rule unenforceable because they have to judge who's dancing and who's just being normal. I work with someone who has a disability that forces them to almost look like they're about to breakdance any time he walks, would he be arrested? You don't have to feel bad for them, but don't justify this type of action because they were warned, that's bullshit.

Show a little respect for God's sake. Playing these stupid word games with the police will not help you. They have a job to do.

stupid rule but the police didn't make it up and they warned them. Yet they still did it in spite, I don't feel bad for them going to jail.
