i understand where it is u are coming from, and i have 3 uncles a female cousin and an older brother in the different branches of the armed forces...the fact is the national anthem is and will always be the national anthem the way it was written whether she plays it that way or not. Chances are they were playing to a different crowd that didnt mind it being remixed like it was. It's one instance in the COUNTLESS times its been played/sang or whatever....i dont think she did it an injustice...

Just the fact that she is putting creative effort into representing it in a new arena that before it was not often seen in, is what matters. Your response just begs the question...have you ever really read all the words to the National Anthem? This is a military song...its F S Key telling everyone what he witnessed, how the flag was still standing after a brutal British attack, which represented HOPE. This isn't a song to represent us, its a song about how we got here, every time we play it, sing it or quote it. Got it?
