To record these, do you just set a camera up on a tripod and point it at the computer, or just use a special software on the computer.

I use a screen-capture program. There are many of them; CamStudio, Hypercam, Camtasia, and Frapps are the more popular ones.

CamStudio failed me, Frapps failed one of my YouTube friends, Camtasia failed one of my subscriptions, and Hypercam failed... well, everyone else. In most emulators, there's a way to record directly to AVI without a screen-capture program, which I just love. So much.

Sure, *you* can read the text, but some of my earlier fans were visually impaired... I haven't received word from them in a while, but I like that my videos can be enjoyed by everyone so long as I add a lingual twist to try voice acting, spicing the game a little.
