I watched the show for the first time last year when they came to Manila. This part was one of the most breathtaking in the whole show. The whole thing was amazing, can't wait to watch them again :D

when i first saw verekai i was truly amzed and the last time i saw it was when i was 8 and im 16 now and i will still always rember and for being my age that young i actually undertood it about love and able to create dreams again once they have failed the first and besides i still have a huuuge crush o him!!!!! beautiful music everything was wonderful my dream is to so you wonderful people again and shake each of your hands witha smile :) good job

According to Greek Mythology, Daedalus and his son Icarus sought escape from an island prison. Wearing wings made of wax and feathers, they leaped from a cliff and soared over the ocean. The father reached land, but Icarus, enjoying flight, went higher and higher. He flew too near the sun, his wings melted and he was lost at see. This is basically like this, but Cirque can't steal original ideas, so they made Icarus fall into "Varekai".

@allyally15 Hi. It's not a real language, it's a mix of true words (like "luna", which means "moon" in spanish) and different sounds. So you can imagine the lyrics you want! And yes, the song is magic... I hope I helped you,

saw this live a couple of weeks ago in London and it was absolutely amazing. This was my favourite act.

Its a bummer that the "magicness" and "stunningness" dont come across so well on the video as it is live, but im still glad I can watch this again and again whenever I want =]

It's really hard not to feel for him. In this, I can sense how sad and scared he is, and how much he longs to be back in the sky. Anton was right when he said that these were like the last minutes of Icarus' old life.

you can really see him never give up, he fell down, can't move his legs, but he doesn't give up. he still tries to fly, and reach the sky.

It's supposed to be that he just lost his wings and broke his legs and the thing he wants most is to be able to fly again.

@sugargirl208 the story goes that he flew too close to the sun and burned his wings, and therefore can't fly anymore. So he came out of the sky in a net and probably got stuck on his way down. And he is lifted into the air as the creatures on stage are trying to make him fly again. And thats where the show is about basically.

El Vuelo del Icaro in my lenguage. Zara´s voice is absolutely amazing. The another singer in the other songs is great too. Varekai, for me, is the best show after Alegria

Though there is something that is intriguing me. I think that the Angel guy, is diferent from the one I saw on the show...

Might be another guy, working in circuses (I'm Argentina) and shows the sun over many years, and maybe the guy who makes angel is not as Anton chelnokov might also change the style of makeup and is not very like this video. I wonder if Anton is still working at Varekai
