Autologous stem cell transplantation is a procedure by which blood-forming stem cells are removed, and later injected back into the patient. All stem cells are taken from the patient themselves and cultured for later injection. The technique is referred to as a bone marrow harvest and is performed under a general anesthesia. The incidence of patients experiencing rejection is rare due to the donor and recipient being the same individual. This remains the only approved method of the SCT therapy. 2 me, the most critical point he made, what he does with the stem cells, he says so quickly & relatively quietly, it is tuff 2 catch. It's what he does with the stem cells after taking the adult stem cells from the patient's bone marrow: "We spread them out". Very interestin. I'd think, we all woulda thought he somehow removed the damaged tissue & placed & somehow guided the stem cells 2 divide & differentiate in2 what was damaged. Yes, the body is an integrated whole system & must B treated so

Stem Cell therapy is a clinical reality. Unfortunately not too many people appreciate that some forms of stem cell therapy are already in clinical trials in the USA.
