i really need your help on it, i have downloaded the windows beta 9.0 and i wasnt use to using the 9.0 beta so i unistalled it to install the old 8.0 one, after i unistalled it, i manually deleted the windows messenger folder. but now i when ever i installl it, it just rolls back from 99% to 0%. and i was told that the installation is aborted by error code :0x80004004. i have tried to repair all the registery with different kind of softwares but i didnt work, so can you please help me out

If you windows live beta does not work (new version) Unistall it and all that then simply download the new one on admim worked forr me. :) Hope this helps

Then you don't want it that way, so you're going to change name of the custom, but you can't, because where you are supposed to change name/delete any custom emoticon, it's the regular :D emoticon, and you can't click delete or change name. To Cure the 8100030d error code simply go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR-USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts

And delete everything here, EVERYTHING...

Then your WLM will start connecting to the internet, no computer restart required...However this is not always the cure, but it just worked for me...
