Cobus wouldn't have gotten famous starting with drum covers like this. Yes it is very important to "feel the music" and play within the song but save that for the studio. Drum covers are meant to show off a little and be creative. Yes I also think you can go too far but most every halfways decent drummer on youtube could copy exactly what he did in this cover. I miss the old videos where I had to rewind 'em like 10x to figure out what drums he's hitting...Go Luke Holland

@zagyex I see that too... but (i can't say for Cobus because i honestly don't know) quite a lot of drummers who have multiple camera angles, such as Cobus, play the song once through for every camera angle and have a master copy that they have played, then put them altogether and edit them to make the final piece. so because of that not every play through will be the exact same so when the different angles are edited sometimes they dont match up to the master sound copy, hope this helped! :)
