It seems like common sense to me that gays should be allowed to marry if they want to. What harm does it cause? Schools will teach children to respect one another - whether they are the same or different, everyone is human, everyone deserves the same rights. The opponents to gay marriage (Yes on 1) have ignorant and hateful messages. Love is the answer, or at least: live and let live.

The legislature voted to help gay families and their children. It helps get homes to unwanted kids. All State benefits should be shared equally among the people. It helps Maine attract the good neighbors that gay people are.
