@LABORISTOXIC My research came up with the same stats. I was disturbed when I read it. The refugee convention was set up to help people in genuine need and these people are rorting it. What makes me angry is how many holidays they take to their own countries and how much property they own in them while living in public housing. I feel sorry for those stuck in refugee camps in 3rd world countries in appalling conditions who don't have the money to pay the people smugglers...

@SIM2402 ...... What upsets me is the way the media have portrayed these people as "the most vulnerable people in the world". Now we are finding out that a significant number of these people fly to Indonesia so that they can catch the boat.
