Kinda sad, i really tried to find a decent top 10 of classic hard rock/metal songs. Found some, but they still lacked the best songs of that era. But this... kiddo you really need listen to the bands that created this style of music, without them each and every band in your own top wouldn't have existed, just so you know. A few pointers: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Ac/Dc, Rolling Stones, Cream, Yardbirds, Creedence Clear Water Revival, Hendrix, Bachman Tuner Overdrive etc.
