this is what I'm talking about,this is the kind of stuff I've been looking for,not two people just attacking each other and the views the opposing side has,but a gentle,civil conversation on disagreement in worldviews and trying to figure each other out,by asking important and/or difficult questions,and trying to figure out which one of our worldviews makes the most sense. Both of these guys are good examples of how we should talk about these issues

the reason what he's talking about sounds crazy is because he's trying to show how crazy an actual infinite in reality is :)

I know that an actual infinite is crazy, but so is god. I was objecting to Craig about subtracting infinities. You don't do that.

@raoskaos well, the reason you don't do that is because infinity is an illogical concept in reality, and by subtracting infinite values, Craig further illustrated this point. His whole purpose was to show how illogical an "eternity" of past events is by attempting to bring the concept of an infinite value into every day life and further attempt to use it in situations which would otherwise be logical. So, you're right, you just don't do that.

Yes, and you don't subtract infinities!!! It's like trying to divide by zero. Craig's example of "subtracting" infinities is redundant. Hilbert's Paradox stands without this. And THAT is why I said, in the first place, that Craig should shut the fuck up.

FINALLY a debate where Craig's opponent engages him on a philosophical level!

So many of Craig's debates usually wind up with his opponents arrogantly arguing irrelevant points and just making general attacks on religion **cough cough CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS**

Glad to see that Williamson at least was able to understand Craig's points and argue accordingly.

And I totally agree with the above comments, Williamson seems like a genuinely nice guy. Even if he is a heathen. ;P

I liked Williamson because he kept it real.

He didn't go off with an air of authority and ideals that brushed with an all knowing attitude and I found his approach to be very down to earth and understandable.

I also think he made atheists look much better than some of the people who get up in debates as many debaters carry a certain disdain for anything divine or otherwise. And Williamson truly didn't seem concerned with that.

At least Williamson gave some arguments in his opening speech (while some other atheist don't give any other arguments at all) Though easily refuted by dr. Craig, I still respect Williamson, he seems likea nice guy indeed and I think he stayed very respectful to dr. Craig also.

Though Williamson is not a great debator, I still enjoyed this debate very much:) thnx for uploading!
